Motel 6 Ridgecrest, CA China Lake

Very nice ice machine, friendly staff. Very clean & well maintained. So affordable! Really, really appreciated the voucher for a hot breakfast at Denny’s which is very close by.

The main sign for the property must be getting replaced. We had a hard time locating the property at first, as the previous name for the hotel was all painted out / covered over in white paint. We eventually figured it out, and the fact that the building is all blue was a big clue. :-). (Azul means blue). The lack of a sign was our only, very small observation of something that is likely being worked on.

The room and parking lot are very clean. Our room has recently been repainted. There is still some work to be done with the floor mounding. Most importantly the room is CLEAN and in working order. There is a microwave oven but no refrigerator. The room is good sized and there are numerous tv channels. The air conditioning works great which is important for the summer.

The restaurant area is about 0.3 miles to the west.

I really liked the cleanliness - of the rom and of the outside, including the grounds and parking lot. Everything was accessible and worked well.

I was surprised that the toilet paper holder was hiding under the sink. All it needed was a screwdriver to re-attach it to its place on the wall.

This my 2nd stay here, staff is always great, rooms are clean, you get a mini fridge, micro, alarm clock, hot water, ice machine, working a/c and heater, sat tv. The normal stuff you would expect anywhere, but not always get. So fair price and decent stay is good imo

Negatives, hmmm... about the only that I can come up with is no free breakfast anymore since changing to a motel 6. But that doesn't make a difference to me, i don't usually eat a big breakfast.

Front desk agent was very nice and friendly. The room was very basic, no shampoo or shower gel, no hair dryer, but nice, clean and bed was comfortable.

There was no coffee maker in the room but you could easily walk to the front desk where was a free coffee from 6 am to 9 pm. We booked the cheapest option - Large Queen size bed and there was only 1 towel but I guess this room is meant to be for only 1 person.

Friendly staff. The rooms upstairs are quiet. The rooms are slightly larger than expected and even though they are very basic, they are well kept and everything is in good working condition.

The signage is incorrect (shows a different name), making the place difficult to find which is a bit of a frustrating first impression. There is only a limited number of parking spots and you might have to park across the street.

The room was extremely clean which is the most important part of an inexpensive hotel. No weird smells, everything was great.

No shampoo in the bathroom, I think you have to ask for it (or they forgot to put it in)

We stayed at Azul Inn for two nights. Overall we had a great experience. The rooms were newly remodeled. They were spacy and clean. The beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent!

We had a long day in Death Valley. Everyone was exhausted and craving for a hot shower. Unfortunately none of the towels were changed and some of them were already left on the floor. It was very late so we didn't want to wake the staff. Wish we were informed about no room services at check in.

Having to ring the doorbell and wait (sometimes a little while) to speak to someone, as the reception's door was closed (including during the free coffee hours of 7-10 am, with the coffee in front of the locked up reception!)

a lot of food options around the motel and for a party traveling with mutiple people, the 2 'seperate' rooms weer excellent I wronlgly left a feedback that was for another motel, but this motel 6 was way better, so i changed it

It was a pleasant stay, so no complaints
