Sonder The Bungalows

We loved our room. Updated bathroom and kitchen made the unit stand out. Small in size but had everything that you could possibly need (dishes, silverware, extra pillows and blankets). Located in Little Italy and close to downtown.

Very noisy. There is no insulation and you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on outside on the street if you are in an end unit. No dedicated parking but there is paid parking next to the establishment.

The Murphy bed was WAY comfier than I thought it would be and came with a great selection of pillows. The space was very small, but we found it cozy and well-equipped. We had everything we could need. Loved how well set up the kitchen was. You can tell so much thought was put into how to design this small bungalow space and keep it light and bright. The dutch door was adorable, and I also LOVED the surprise that it was a historic bungalow court. Charming all around. The best part was how convenient it was. We rarely needed to drive or Uber because it was all right there. I will be recommending these units to anyone visiting San Diego and will definitely stay here again.

We were in the unit by the door, and other guests would let the door slam often and could hear folks in the parking lot next door. We are city people, so it didn't keep us up, but light sleepers may want to ask for another unit. Some might find the parking lot prices a little steep, but for a New Yorker, $10 a night was a steal and there was always availability. And if you're very tall...you may struggle in such a small space.

great location, the place is cosy , good bed linen, organized , nice patio, good bathroom , hair drier , iron, big fridge, everything almost like new.

the laundry was not working , I had to call twice to ask for the location and at the end they just apologized.

Faucets in the bathroom really old, entire faucet swings when you turn it on. Hot and cold water can’t be mixed. Unsafe. It would be great if the number of the property is visible. Especially useful for nighttime travelers

The studio apartment is well designed and equipped. It's also very clean and has about everything you'll need for a short stay. It's brilliantly located and I'd definitely stay again.

The studio is SMALL - if you use the pull-out couch you can't access the kitchen, and can't access the sitting area if the Murphy bed is down.. This can make it feel very cramped if you're more than 2 people traveling.

Great location in an awesome location in the city. Though we were in the middle of the city, when we entered our little house we felt like we were secluded in a little paradise!

the pull out bed from the couch was really uncomfortable and too short for my long legs :) We had to share the other queen bed.

The location was excellent for walking distance to Little Italy as well as the Gaslamp district. The convenience to either walk to a restaurant or cook a home cooked meal was great. The access to the 5 was great everything was 15-20 minutes whether it was the Coronado ferry landing or Belmont Park. The property was cozy and perfect for me and my sons while we are road tripping. Southern California.

Only suggestion is list the parking lots as well as possible accessible locations. We lucked out and had a space every time we returned to the property.

The property is in a great location, it’s a few minutes walk into the heart of Little Italy. Its on a quiet street so no problem sleeping and am extremely comfortable bed. The apartment is compact but has a decent kitchen and a great shower

The alarm goes off if the bathroom door is opened after a shower

This property was super close to every attraction, I liked how cozy it was and the plug in AC fan was a great gesture.

I did not like the cleanliness of this Property, I found clipped nails on the Sofa bed, the utilities were not sanitized properly and appeared rusted. I ended up cleaning the place myself before settling in, Overall the place was in a great location but lacked Safety and Health standards. It was too small for the price I paid but I guess that’s SD for you.

It was great location, very very clean! I thought the bed was very comfortable actually even though I read some complaints about the beds. Kitchen had everything I needed and there was a parking lot right next to the rooms. I thought it was a lovely place for a quick getaway, cosy and homey.
