walkable location to downtown SF. easy entry late at night since we walked home from Oracle park around 1-2am. Clean room! liked how close the put our room to the bathroom. the sink and towels were great. loved the access to TV! Wifi was decent. Fan was ok but not strong enough for how hot it was mid July

good room, wish there were more ways to cool down the room. wish the hotel had a partnership with the parking garage across the street since it was $102 for 48 hours.

The couple who run the hotel are very friendly, even let us use an en-suite bathroom they had just cleaned rather than the shared bathroom for showering one morning. Comfy bed, generally quite clean.

The area is not the safest but we didn’t have any issues. Wouldn’t recommend for a solo (especially female) traveller unless you only plan to leave and enter during the day. It’s fine during the day though and there are some good restaurants nearby.

It's relatively clean. There is a sink in the room where you can wash your face and brush your teeth. There's also a refrigerator, which is good. Although there is only one bathroom, it is not crowded and can be used whenever you want. The microwave is opposite Reception. In DownTown San Francisco, the price is very cheap. There are a lot of homeless on the streets, but they have no interest in people passing by, so don't be afraid.

It would be better if there were two bathrooms

This is a street in the Tenderloin in San Francisco. To me, the Tenderloin is an important part of San Francisco. A symbol that is part of what makes San Francisco, flaws and all, the most tolerant Progressive city in the country bar none. The 'Loin' .. it is what it is. Its all here , and sometimes it ain't pretty. But without the tenderloin, San Francisco is just another Denver. Just do your thing . You'll be all right . The Boston Hotel is a diamond in the rough. Newly remodeled ,(you better like the color orange). A daughter of the family at the front desk very cool. On top of it. Sense of humor. Met her Mom, looks just like her and just as cool. You can tell once you talk with them, walk down the hall and get in your room, it's a good vibe. Listen, I've stayed in 10 different hotels with this pandemic reopen. In this price range, a couple of them pretty borderline. You know that feeling. When you're just not quite sure... Not the case with The Boston Hotel. I stayed in two rooms in three nights . No usual faint odd smell (just curry!) No bugs.Super clean.. Quaint rooms nicely done . Big (also new) shower stalls. The shower heads and the water pressure? In my room it was like a waterfall . Awesome. Better shower than the $120 a night C-level hotel 3 blocks away. A block away from the biggest shopping center in the city, all transportation Bart buses ,taxis , cable car.. I'ts easy to get anywhere from there . Walk one block ? You're out of the tenderloin and in downtown South of Market area . So if you're a looking for a deal on a safe cool Hotel run by some pretty cool chicks on the edgy side of town , The Boston Hotel is it.! (Deposit required). TVF

There was nothing to not like. All good.

Close to Moscone and Union Square. You get a real feeling of being in San Francisco. Colourful life of the Tenderloin. Probably not comfortable walking these streets for a woman alone. Super value for money...

My room had no bathroom en suite but for €48 in San Fran you can't really expect that!!

The bedroom was Clean, it has a TV, a basin and a small fridge. The staff is lovely.

If you feel unsafe because of the homelesses around, keep in mind that all the area is full of them (even if you choose similar hotels), but they are harmless.

Quiet, comfortable bed, security doors, check in, check out quick, just a nice place to stay.

Sketchy neighborhood, and a $150 dollar deposit they didn't mention until I got there. But lady at desk worked with me and we were good to go.

The attention was great. I checked in around 11pm and they attended me right away. As well i forgot my passport and the owner was extremely proactive to do everything to get it back to me. I really appreciated it. I will be back again next time i am in san francisco, this is by far the best value hotel given that there room has fridge, TV, sink, ventilator and a heater.
