Howard Johnson by Wyndham Torrance

Our room was very spacious enough to move around in comfortably. The bathroom was immaculate and our towels were almost brandnew. The beds were super comfy and crisp. Breakfast were the basics, but that's all you really need anyway. Staff was always on hand ensuring cleanliness and hygiene. I liked that they didn't have to do daily housekeeping and used recyclables. Location was right where you can access the places you can easily walk to.

I didn't really mind it, but if i have to point out anything it's just the dark and somewhat stained carpeting on the corridors, mainly because it's outdoors and really does get wet from the elements. And our room needed some updates on paintwork on walls and furniture. Didn't affect my good experiences though.

It was very economical it was clean and safe the shower was powerful and hot. The tv was good .

I reported a leaking tap twice and it was not fixed. The hairdryer was broken and it was fixed by replacing for a hairdryer straight away.

nice spacious room/bathroom big comfortable beds close to amenities/restaurants/mall good value for money safe location breakfast was included in the price ( bagels, oats, cereal, juices, fruits, coffee, tea, milk, yoghurt) quite happy with the selection receptionists were all nice and helpful

We were told luggage storage is available… when we then asked for luggage storage the next day, we were told that they don’t offer that kind of service. The young girl receptionist kept loudly face-timing even when guests were talking to her, not so professional….. that being said apart from the loudly face timing thing, she was nice.

Clean room

Breakfast was not good

The room is well lit, clean and spacious. Basic room facilities like microwave, WiF, TV, refrigerator, pressing iron, air dryer, shampoo and others were also available. Had more than enough clean towels and house keepers were around periodically to tidy up the room.

Breakfast was served but has limited options.

It was a good location for work

Elevator out of order. When you ask for something it takes forever. I asked to have my room clean @6:04am I returned after work from a 12hr shift around 8:30/9pm an my room was the same way I left it. I went to go ask about it an the guy stated that the morning person did not put it in as I watched him stare at the computer only to look at me as I walked in—so the night shift guy looked at me like, what u want me to do?” So I asked for new sheets and towels-the blanket had a BIG ASS brown stain on it. So I just used the covers from the night before.

The breakfast was exceptional and met our needs. The lighting in the room was bit dim but however still worked in our favor. Thank you Howard Johnson.

I liked the space, cleanliness , and the breakfast. The lights just needed a bit work but that’s it. Thank you.

Convenient Location for my personal/ Businesd trip vacation.

The Electrical outlet in the table light are too worn out. Better have it fix. It always fails me to use my charger not to work properly ended my IPhone not completely charged.

Staff were lovely, sheets were pure white. Good value for money spent.

Light breakfast was ok except everything to eat was sweet or sweetened. Plain oatmeal or one cereal not sweetened like just corn flakes, would have gone a lot further for me...much too much sugar in a single meal.

The room was great for the price and it’s 8 minutes from the beach. I was there for a funeral so it was also about 5 miles away from there. There’s also a lot of food places and a Walmart around the corner. The room has a microwave and mini fridge so it was nice to go to Walmart and get some items for the fridge. Also, our bathroom sink was clogged and not draining and maintenance came right up and fixed it so that was super nice!

I think the carpet is a little old so you would have to wear socks or shoes or else your feet would get dirty but that’s probably common of most hotels with carpet
