Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach

Parking fees of $34 and internet fees of $15 were not disclosed at time of booking, which would have impacted my decision based on total cost to stay there. Outgoing phone calls were dropped after 5 seconds, every time. Hair dryer was on the floor in the closet, instead of in the bathroom so wasn’t found when needed, and then couldn’t reach front desk or housekeeping to learn where it was bc the phone had issues. When selecting where to eat breakfast, there was no host(ess) station to talk to someone to view the menu or be seated. I had to track someone down across from the restaurant to place our order. I used to stay at the Torrance Marriott frequently, but I don’t think I will again.

Staff was outstanding. The location was good and in a decent part of Torrance. The room was clean and spacious.

They nickel and dime you for almost everything: parking, breakfast, Wi-Fi etc. You can't plug any of your own devices into the TV, and there were multiple nights during the work week that I was kept awake by parties and loud people on the outside lawn/patio. We were on the 8th floor, and we could hear almost everything going on down there.

The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast food was really good, great having Starbucks in the hotel, we enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi, the staff were very nice & helpful, lovely to sit outside and eat lunch. The second room we were transferred up to was great. Enjoyed the option of valet or self park. It was not a bad walk at all, whereever you parked in the parking lot. The mood of the lobby floor was very calming and relaxed.

The first room we had was not good. There was water dripping from the ceiling of the shower, the phone did not work in the room. One issue with being located where the hotel is, there are a lot of sirens travelling down Hawthorne Blvd. (not much you can do with that), BUT we did notice that people love to go to the top level of the Del Amo parking structure and do donuts with their car. That is noisy. Even in the second room, the shower would leak onto the floor in the bathroom coming under the glass door. But we just made sure we had towels down. The water pressure was very weak in the shower. The Movie Theater channel did not work in the second room, had a technician come but he couldn't fix it and he said he would get back to me about it but did not hear from him.

The room was quiet, comfortable, and modern. Everyone was nice and eager to help. The restaurant had a nice menu variety. The gym was a good space with several available equipment.

I think that for a 3-star hotel, it is a bit pricey. The breakfast price was a bit too much. The windows were a bit dirty on the outside.

I liked the secure use of room keys everywhere! The warm fireplaces & and the helpful staff!

The parking is a bit much when you are staying for a week. I believe it should be adjusted to account for the stay. The room coffee. I understand you want guess to patronize Starbucks, but put a better option in the rooms. I didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t eat in the breakfast buffet if we didn’t have it included in our package. Once I saw the spread, I would have paid more for the breakfast onsite!

I really like the Marriott Torrance, i get there 9 times on 10. It's very convenient, near from everything I need in Torrance. I will be back for sure in April.

Well, I made a mistake when I reserve the number of nights. I tried to resolve the problem but they couldn't assist me because I made my reservation with Expedia... I tried to reach Expedia and even them didn't refund me the extra night so they charge me 200$ for a night I wasn't there... upset ... however I will return to the Marriott Torrance south bay, it's not their fault.

The breakfast consisted of a breakfast buffet. You could use it in a special room or in the restaurant. There was enough choice and if you prefer only a cup of coffee with cake or a sandwich you could visit the in-house star-bucks.

It would be nice if the Wifi was free. I think it is quite expensive for a facility that is almost a necessity today.

Staff was amazing!!

Was on the phone for over two hours total w bookings.com trying to get dates moved and s refund which Bookings guaranteed but have never received it. I spent almost $600 for one room/one night. Still waiting for refund. Will never use this booking agent again

The view from the room with small balcony just right! The breakfast was delicious great variety tasty and hot definitely restaurant style! Directly located in one of the best cities in the beach area! Every mall and strip malls all in one area!

I liked that the outside grounds were so spacious and inviting.

The restaurant bar was seriously sub par. Not only did we wait almost 50 minutes for a few drinks, we were very disappointed in the quality of the drinks. The drinks were missing ingredients, and were made poorly. The menu specified what was in the drink and the bartenders said they didn’t even have those ingredients. This was very unfortunate after attending a memorial service and wanting to sit and talk with family.
