Best Western Visalia Hotel

Check-in, Room was exceptional.

There was a major problem with my room key in the morning. The key-card would not open the door after I had gone down to lobby to pickup my breakfast and coffee. I had to return from room to front desk 3 times to have card re-programed. Finally, the receptionist had to come up to room to disable lock so I could enter room and eat my cold half eaten meal and get my things together for checkout. Apparently, maintenance worker was not available so receptionist had to take care of front desk and get me into room. This unfortunate problem did spoil an otherwise very good experience.

It was my birthday 01/01 and the front office clerk was kind enough to give me her bejeweled pen! Purple at that! Such a nice gesture! Can’t remember her name but she worked the graveyard shift, we checked in really late/early 01/01. I still have the pen and receive wonderful compliments when I whip it out! Great bday present from your kind front desk clerk!

Convenient location right off the freeway. Staff was very friendly. One night they provided burgers and beer from 4-6. I thought that was a fun touch! Burgers were pretty good, too! Our room was very spacious, we really liked it.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The lady that was there when we first checked in was super nice and was making us home made cookies, customer service was awesome, did discount the rooms since the air was messed up or we could move all our luggage up to the next floor but considering the elevator wasn't working we stayed where we were.

Hot tub wasnt working. Elevator was out of service. Air conditioner was broke. Room 210. Light fixture in night stand had a short in it and would cut off and on randomly. Loud music next to our in room 206. Our room 210 TV did not work. Both pools were nasty and I personally skimmed the top so the kids could play.

The location and the receptionist was excellent, she was very informative and polite,definitely she was awesome. Location wise it's also great, near to a hotel with a restaurant which is also decent and near to a nice big park. Over all I enjoyed the stay, even when there were some races near by and the sound was loud.

Easy location, right off 198. They have breakfast available - great waffles and to go boxes if needed. They also provided 1 water bottle/person each day since they do not have a filtered water station. Spacious room (business king suite). I appreciated that the bathtub & toilet are separate from the sink & mirror so that two people can use at the same time.

Our bathtub was sputtering & when you turned on the shower it continued to sputter. There was no filtered water dispenser to fill water bottles.

Loved the room. It was large and spacious. Breakfast was great. It had a large selection of food to choose from. We plan to stay there again.

That other people staying there would use a rock to prop open the side door.

We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and the size of the room was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helped us with directions etc. Would definitely stay here again.

We came to hike in Sequoia - so this is not a knock on this facility at all - but we would've liked to have been closer to the park. Not Best Western's fault though at all.

Great location - good walking in park and close to dog park

Individual toiletries and no recycling of breakfast plates, utensils. Needs to be more sensitive to environmental realities.

The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

I did not like how the room did not have any usb outlets and how you have to travel to the 2nd floor for ice
