The Old West Inn

Traveling through the area and needed a place to stay the night. This place is a cute themed motel in the middle of town. Although the room could use an update, it was still clean and nothing was worn. We had the family room which provided two twin beds and a queen bed. Perfect for us with our two kids. Even with those beds, the room was exceptionally spacious! We noticed a sign on the desk that said you could get coupons at the front desk to dine at the local Lumberjack Cafe for $5 a plate. We didn't get the coupons but still ate at the Lumberjack Cafe, which was delicious and massive portions! Really wished we would've taken advantage of that coupon!

If they end up updating the decor, this place would be a hit with travelers. otherwise there really is nothing to complain about. The price was right for the area and it was clean and spacious. We would stop here again if passing through.

The Old West Inn was excellent value for the money. We had a very clean room with everything we needed. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. At check-in we had a nice conversation with Ruju about her country and she was very accommodating. The outside decor was unique and attractive. The Old West Inn offers breakfast for a very reasonable price at the Lumberjack, which is just up the road. This was a very comfortable and friendly place with excellent food. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Everything was fine.

Very cute theme. Very quiet; we know it was booked up but almost never saw anyone. Linens were nice and tasteful. Bed was wonderfully comfy.

Coffee for little pot was weak; could hear neighbor using shower, but those are very minor things. Nothing to do at actual motel, but we were only using it for the night on a long driving trip.

Unappearing hotel from the main street as there is no guest parking in the front which is nice. All guest parking is in the back of the hotel and feels very secure. Room was a nice size and AC window unit was very strong in 90 degree weather. Hot water worked instantly in shower and sink.

Wished the windows had blinds. They had shutters and at night, all the exterior hotel lights would come through the shutter slits. Simple blinds would make for a completely dark room to sleep in.

Rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Felt more like I was at home than a motel. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would gladly stay here again.

For women, or men, with long hair an extra bath towel is really helpful. By the time you dry your body there is not a lot of dry towel left to absorb water from long hair.

Honestly, I don't think I have stayed at a better hotel before. The staff was so kind, the room was clean and comfortable, the rooms were wonderful and the old west style was included throughout the hotel in such a great way. I can't wait to stay there again.

There was nothing about it that I or my husband disnt like about it.

Spotlessly clean. Good sized room with pleasant and functional furniture. Very nice and hard working family run operation takes pride of ownership. We sometimes stay in Ukiah but Willits is a smaller version of Ukiah and they have a few good places to eat too.

$5/person breakfast at Lumberjacks was a surprise: huge breakfast for only $5.

Would have given it a 10 rating if the following were done: cleaner bathroom; cleaning the off-white doors of dirt marks would have made me give a higher rating.

I liked that you got vouchers for $5 breakfast at a restaurant and there was a refrigerator that worked well.

It would be nice if there was coffee in the lobby made for you but that's not a big deal.

Staff were super polite, friendly, and helpful. I had actually stopped at another local hotel prior to coming in, and I'm so glad I decided to stay at The Old West Inn, instead. Everything was incredibly clean and immaculately maintained, including the grounds. The inner courtyard is hidden from the road/parking, and is surprisingly nice! Bed was super comfy - shampoo, soap, coffee maker, fridge, and microwave were included in my room (which I didn't expect, and was appreciative to find in a budget reservation). Wifi was free, and it was fast. Front counter interaction was fast and pleasant, and he even offered to recommend local restaurants. Top notch for a last-minute stay!

Everything was great - though I do wish that breakfast had been on-site, instead of a local voucher (due to COVID regulations, so not the hotel's fault).
