Hyatt Place Colorado Springs Downtown

We loved the location. It was very walkable. The valet parking was convienent and quick. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the variety at breakfast.

We had to ask for sheets for the pull-out bed twice and they were not brought. I finally walked to the lobby to get sheets and extra towels. We didn't have enough toilet paper later in the stay. We had to walk to the lobby to get more (and then wait while they found it.) The first morning we were there no one was working the front desk and we couldn't find anyone to answer questions. We were told the incorrect start time for breakfast and had to wait yet. There were several others also waiting for breakfast, so when it was served it ran out quickly and we had to wait again.

The hotel was stunning and modern. The room we had was fantastic as far as value, cleanliness, welcoming, and the view was quite spectacular!

The bed was pretty comfortable but somewhat softer than we prefer. The area is great for getting around and walking downtown but the amount of homeless people in the area was daunting. Also, we were not told that housekeeping is on request only and $25.00 a day for parking seemed a bit steep.

Great location within the town of Colorado Springs and we had a nice view from our room as well. The staff were very helpful checking us in quickly even though we arrived late at night, and the breakfast was solid as well. From the hotel we were able to get throughout downtown very easily.

Given we arrived at the hotel late at night we had some trouble figuring out the parking situation. Ultimately we parked on the street instead of finding and waiting for valet parking, wish it was clearer upon arrival.

The breakfast was fairly good. I did like that there was someone always at the front desk who was attentive. The facilities were especially clean and the natural lighting from the large windows was stellar. It was also quite a relief to not have to deal with protruding window air units or radiators.

I felt that the price could have been a little lower, especially given there was not a microwave to warm my food in, but overall it was a positive experience.

Breakfast was varied and tasty, very well done. I felt relatively safe because of good locked door policy at street level. Was a very quiet stay, good soundproofing. Front desk staff was excellent, esp the experienced night manager. Can’t say enough good about her. She took care of a broken tv issue for us.

Could have used maid service during the stay. The room needed some kind of info sheet about policies, offerings, and the neighborhood.

I like the security of the hotel, couldn't get to the rooms without the room key to operate the elevator. The breakfast food was great. The hotel was clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The parking was valet and in a cover garage (additional cost). It was quite and ckean.

Nothing. We stayed one night and didn't have any issues.

Getting two parking tickets. Since we hiked and didn't get in until late we didn't want to pay the daily parking. I got out to the parking lot right after 7:00 to put money in the meter but both days had a ticket on my window. We was only at the hotel to sleep and to take a shower. This left a bad taste in my mouth and will influence my decision for staying at the Hyatt in the future.

I love having free breakfast on-sight. It saves so much time! The staff was awesome and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids loved the pool.

The breakfast was limited. The cheese omelette was bland American cheese. I added Picante and it was much better. The kids would have liked a waffle, pancakes or toast. I didn’t like having to pay to park and didn’t realize there would be a charge.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, despite the fact there was no record of our reservation in their system.

Arriving to have no record of our booking was upsetting. However the staff quickly made up for it, finding us a room and matching the original quoted price, even though our booking through Booking.com never went across to the hotel system.

The location was excellent. We were attending student orientation at Colorado College. Many restaurants are within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and the room and common areas were very clean.

The parking was expensive, $25 per night, and all parking within walking distance was metered. However, this is probably typical of a downtown hotel.
