Canyon Of The Ancients Guest Ranch

Spectacular place, truly special, with wonderful hosts who gave us a full farm tour and great area suggestions.

We were in the Cowboy Cabin which was quite nice except the kitchenette was very small. I wouldn’t expect to do a lot of cooking in it. This was only that cabin. We saw some of the larger buildings that were gorgeous and spacious 8n every way, great for larger families/groups.

Ming and Garry were gracious hosts willing to spend time with us and introduce us to the beauty and animals of the ranch. We had a great time getting to know them and the "incredibles" a bit. The time spent at the ranch was one of the highlights of trip to the four corners region. Great place for families or a couples getaway. We hope to return someday soon.

Hosts Ming & Gary, their passion for the ranch life and area history (Victor too) -here are just some things that made us smile or the stay easy - detailed, comfortable, authentic furnishings, very clean accommodations, access to all parts of the property, fresh eggs waiting in your fridge, the farms own meats available and delicious, dogs & cats to greet you, hummingbirds buzzing your front door,, feeding sheep tortilla chips, fully equipped kitchen, new clean gas grill and equipment, opportunities to visit local sites with hosts and get great recommendations, the sanctuary- a beautiful building for meditation, dream location for photographers!

The charm and challenge is the location- 30 minutes outside of Cortez, CO so a definite destination location but if visiting four corners region a great choice!

Loved the expansiveness of the property mixed with the ample yet quaint accommodations. Excellent location near an amazing winery, canyons of the ancients, and only a short 30 minute drive to town. There are so many other attractions less than an hour from the ranch like a national park, four corners, and tons of rich, American history.

Outstanding personalized service - felt incredibly welcome. Lovely piece of property - complete with cat, dogs, sheep, chickens, and doves. Cowboy chic in the Cowboy Cabin - wonderful outdoor space for relaxing. Meatballs and gravy are delicious - be sure to order them in advance - it's their grass-fed beef! Can also reserve steaks and lamb chops if they have them. Proximity to Sand Canyon trailhead couldn't be better. Suttcliffe Vineyards down the road is worth the visit - Colorado wine in a true European style. Amanda is a wonderful host. Farm fresh eggs await you in the fridge for delicious home cooked breakfasts. Well appointed kitchenette - don't bother with the drive into town for supplies, stock up on your way in. You have an outdoor grill and induction cooktop. Comfy bed! Lots of videos and Dish TV - but we never turned it on.

Would love if the ranch offered other farm fresh garden provisions.

It was a wonderful experience filled with adventure and nature. The cabin was perfectly appointed and the hosts, Ming and Garry, were interesting and provided helpful information freely. The setting was serene and beautiful. A perfect escape from a busy lifestyle!

This ranch is very special. All the facilities were top notch. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful. The room was appointed with authentic decor and I had everything I needed.

The wifi signal could have been stronger. But the videos provided were great.

It was magical, the setting, wonderful people and animals. Also, very restful.

Property is beautiful and very close to multiple sites (Bluff, Utah...Mesa Verde...Canyons of the Ancients National Monument...horseback riding). Owners were extremely nice and welcoming. Easy check in/out. Cabins are stunning.
