Super 8 by Wyndham Cortez/Mesa Verde Area

Room was good, it was the 2nd year in a row at the same time of the year that we stayed there. We did notice the next morning that the smoke detector in the room was covered with a clear plastic wrapping, such as maybe an ice bag? Not sure if previous people that stayed in that room covered it so as to be able to smoke in the room or not. We left too early the next morning to bring it to the attention of the front desk staff. Ice machine was broken, which was a bit of a bummer, but certainly nothing that ruined our stay.

Staff was friendly and happy to see us.

We were an hour early for our check in of 4:00. One of two rooms rented was not ready. Staff switched us to a new room., so no big deal. Room was prepaid. Got notices on my phone that I was billed again upon arrival. Staff noticed the double billing and refunded right away. But, they did not tell me and I spend a half hour in the morning with the morning staff looking into it.

I have physical disabilities and 2 small dogs. The room was super close to the parking area and an exit. It was a well-designed, ADA compliant room. Lots of grab bars, wheelchair height switches & a stool for the shower. The shower had a stool too.

Not for me, but for others, there is a tub that might be hard to step into for someone with different issues might.

Warm greeting when entering lobby..Great value. Clean room. Opportunity to have something to eat before leaving in the morning.. Able to get a first floor room. Nice staff at checkout. Thank you!

Bathtub needed better cleaning. Also hair in drain stopper. Outside window, weeds as high as window, but appreciate stencils on wall.

The room was extremely nice, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel was quiet. Super 8 is the closest motel to the downtown (rather than part of the sprawl that characterizes many Colorado cities). We walked to an excellent restaurant (Gonzalo's). So, good value due to a very nice room, good location, and good price.

The hotel looks quite worn from the outside. The signs warning me not to leave any valuables in the car and the condition of the parking lot caused some concern, but there were no problems (even though some other guests had bicycles mounted on the back of their car all night).

Room was comfortable

I booked this reservation through booking.com website. Evidently this property does not require a credit card. I arrived at 6:30pm and room was cancelled due to arriving after 6pm and no CC on file. I believe the desk clerk said they run "no-shows" at 6pm and since I did not have a CC on file, reservation was cancelled. After a few minutes of arguing with the clerk about the property having no vacancy, I re-booked through Booking.com and a room became available. Frustrating. I believe the property is at fault due their policy and not Booking.com. However, Super 8s will be at the bottom of my choices from now on.

Nothing wrong with the room. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Floors were hard wood. It had a desk with adequate outlets for laptop and chargers. Sink was in separate area from toilet/shower. Microwave and refrigerator in room. The continental breakfast was good ok. There were packets of hot cereal, muffins, yogurts, juice and coffee. It was self serve, grab and go, and some people were filling up their bags. In this time of covid restrictions, this was still a decent breakfast from a budget type motel. It was close to the end of town that heads off to Mesa Verde.

I had trouble connecting their WiFi to my laptop. Mobile phone worked okay. I talked to the front desk person and after checking on it acknowledged a problem. They tried to get someone to fix it but were not successful while I was there. Hopefully it get fixed soon for others.

The bed was comfortable and the restaurant and store were very close.

.The TV remote was not working and the tray for the coffee maker was missing. Apparently it was on back order but I was not given a heads up. I missed breakfast, which is my fault, but I was also not able to have coffee in my room.

Location. We were traveling through town and looking for somewhere to stop on our way Southern California. The room was clean and neat and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to several restaurants and at least 1 brewery.

Had no issues with the hotel at all, but the town is small and everything closes a little early. So if you plan on stopping here, get there with enough time to stop for dinner before all the good places close.

This location is very close to the Mesa Verde NP. Breakfast was more comprehensive as usual. I had a quite room close to the parking spot.

Hotel do need renovation action. The carpet at the corridor looked really dirty.
