Simba Run Vail Condominiums

We loved our stay at Simba Run. We had 6 people in our group and were very comfortable in our condo. it had two floors where the ground floor had a master bedroom and laundry and the upper floor had another bedroom with two full/queen beds and a full bathroom. The living room was cozy with a spectacular view of the mountains. Parking in the guest spots in the garage was never an issue. We were only 5 minutes away from Vail and we had a rental so we didn’t use their free shuttle. The pool and spa was a nice touch after a long day of boarding. Our condo was very quiet and we never really saw or heard anyone. Overall, great experience for the price ($1850 4nights + parking) and I would definitely come back.

This is a mid 70's early 80's condo that brought back good memories of my early days of skiing. The kitchen was nicely equipped, especially the stove. The staff was friendly. The house shuttle was efficient and the town bus stop was directly at the rear of the property. It was well insulated and the electric baseboard heat was efficient.

The plumbing needs work. Trash is not collected and the walk to the dumpster is long. The television instructions were not especially clear. The laminated list of channels only showed numbers, but not the networks. Some furniture fabrics are showing age. I left a list of tasks that the management/owner should consider. Having owned a rental condo, I appreciated getting feedback before a problem became serious.

The value was great for Vail...I used to stay at ski-in ski-out places for $400 a night and realized they all went for $1K+ a night this year. So we decided to stay here with one 4-year old plus a nanny. Quite spacious and new appliance.

Shuttle bus....not very reliable and very crowded during rush hours. So we end up driving back and forth a lot to the lift. Also the front desk lady was weird. I spoke with her about things not working at the apartment but clearly she didn't tell the maintenance crew until my 4th call.

Nice pool and jacuzzi. Room was good. Shuttle service was nice. The shuttle app helped.

The check-in didn't go well. We arrived at 2pm and the room wasn't ready. The front desk person said she would text us when it was, so we went into town. Came back at 4pm as we didn't receive a text. We entered our room, and it wasn't cleaned. Went down to the front desk and there was a mix up in the paperwork for the cleaners. They gave us another room and we settled in then an hour later she knocked on the door and told us they had to move us to another room which was supposedly an upgrade (it wasn't). Finally, we got our room after the third try.

We loved the location and the apartment. Was clean, well furnished and the tv in each bed meant entertaining separately for kids was a nice touch

The first apartment when we arrived was dusty, broken closet door & one bed had wood chips in them. We arrived late and was initially disappointed with the apartment. Next day staff was friendly and helped us to move to a split level apartment where the windows didn't face I70. Beware of noise in the non split level apartment facing I70

Great access to Vail skiing, quiet unit, nicely furnished. Happy the lodging recycles. Great lodging.

The couch broke and no one came to fix it. The foot fell off and left half the seating unusable, but no one responded or attempted to fix it.

Beautiful condo with great mountain views. Kitchen well stocked, lots of closet space, and reliable shuttle service to ski area. Very comfortable king beds/2 bedrooms were perfect for our group. We will definitely come back!

Unit had regular wood burning fireplace. Would have preferred a gas fireplace.

Very spacious, the kitchen is well equipment, comfortable beds, the swimming pool is a big plus. The shuttle takes less than 10 minutes from the hotel to Lionshead, then another couple of minutes walking to the lifts. After 5pm, the shuttle can take you to the supermarket, which is very handy.

There was only one shuttle during the week, which took a long time to go around and it was packed (with people standing up). It is not a big deal but the bathroom downstairs could see some renovation soon.

Shuttle was super easy to get to the lift and back home. Friendly staff, hot tub outside was nice after a day of skiing!

Owners didn't leave any cooking oil, butter and only 1 laundry detergent. So we had to buy all of that, but the place was very clean, nice and convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Sauna and steam room were segregated (not very social- would be better to have communal ones at side of pool/hot tub) and not on all the time, so not hot and by the time they'd got up to temperature it was too late to use them...
