The Sebastian - Vail

In the summertime, this is a fantastic location. Right next to the crossroads and the village, with lots of excellent restaurants, coffee, shops, and clothing boutiques. It is a beautiful setting. In the winter, it’s a bit of a hassle.

It is an older property, well-maintained, and the layout really leaves something to be desired. Getting two rooms is a giant zigzag, and breakfast is located fairly far away. Coffee is not available until 7 AM and I am an early riser which really didn’t work for me.

This is a lovely lodge-like setting with a large and comfortable lobby and reading room which are perfect for doing work outside of your room. The spa and store are high quality. The rooms are nice, the bathrooms however still use shower curtains which leak, I always prefer glass. The hotel has many caverns and nooks and a very woodsy feel that matches Vail. You have a sense of quality and that some thought went into it. Definitely recommend.

My beefs were that the shower had curtains not glass, the car valet is too high, and the hotel is a bit of a jog to get to the center of town. Otherwise, I had no complaints.

The location is great, right in the village! The staff were very nice! We got a bottle of champagne for our anniversary! The room is comfortable!

The pool area is very small and not enough lounge chairs! We got a room facing an alley way and very early in the morning there was a truck and men working and making a lot of noise! My husband ordered a vanilla latte from the restaurant in the lobby that was expensive for a very small cup, be aware!

First things first, exceptional location, very friendly and professional staff - great massages at the hotel too!!! . Nice spa and hot tub too.

We called on the day of arrival to see if we could get an extra connected room to our Suite, as I snore and wanted my lady to be able to sleep at night...the front desk said it would only cost an additional $100 to do this for the weekend.....but when I checked the bill later, I was charged an extra $100 PER NIGHT there. We ordered Room Service several times during our stay. I did not know until looking at the bill later - that I also tipped after the room service bill had already included auto-gratuity. The room we had was ok, but I saw other rooms later that were nicer and for the price we paid - it did not meet expectations. Overall great location, and friendly staff - but didn't feel good after I reviewed the hotel charges, and thought about the overall experience.

Our first time visiting Vale as we drove through heading back home to Oregon. We were delighted to find that our king room was upgraded to a beautiful suite. The staff was top notch, very friendly and attentive. The location was perfect to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful.

Honestly nothing come to mind

The property is well maintained, in a great location, the staff is super friendly, and our room was great! I’d highly recommend it.

The pool got full quickly and there was very few chairs and the maintenance men were varnishing and painting the hall at 6pm at night and the fumes were outrageous.

Great location, friendly staff, restaurant & bar were good too, daily housekeeping, outdoor restaurant patio, complimentary morning coffee & newspaper in lobby

Great location on Village with walking distance to most of Vail. Hotel is very well maintained and staff very friendly.

Room was a bit small for the cost and only had two small windows looking directly into another room.

I didn´t like the fact that they were trying to charge an "amenitie fee" when I had everything already payed for.... At the end they canceled that charge...

Can you believe it?! We asked for a quiet room and got it!! No push back like at so many other hotels. Thanks!!

Because the pool is such a charming spot, it REALLY could have used more chairs.
