Nautilus Inn - Daytona Beach

Love the ocean front and ocean view rooms as we've stayed in both. Love the full size fridge in the kitchen area. Bed was very comfy but pillows were way too soft and uncomfortable. We've never had a problem with parking or the area. Beach access and pool area are nice and you must use keycard to come into gate from beach. Never entered the hot tub as there were moms with their kids in there splashing water. Not my idea of relaxation.

Pillows need replaced. I feel they could offer some sort of breakfast. We vacationed for two weeks at different hotels and all offered breakfast except this hotel. For the money spent on a night, breakfast should be offered. Even fruit, danishes or donuts would be better than nothing. Would we stay here again? Probably, because of the rooms and beach but if I could find another hotel with the same amenities plus breakfast as well...I'm booking there. I just feel since Covid many hotels are using that reason or excuse to not offer what they used to because it saves them money and they are being cheap. Just my opinion.

In my opinion, this is one of the best properties on the beach, as far as location and it’s one of the very few I noticed has direct beach access still accessible after the hurricanes. It’s on the quieter end of the beach, which I liked, yet still a couple minute drive if you want to do anything near the (still closed) pier. We did our shopping in Daytona Beach Shores which was a very nice area just south of the hotel. The hotel itself and the grounds are very clean( just avoid the ones on either side). The staff were always around cleaning. Parking was never an issue for us. Make sure you specifically request a sea view, or ocean front room, not just ocean view. Every person checking in was disappointed and thought they had an ocean front room, only to find out it was a room on the side of the hotel with a view, and would need to pay an add’l $30 a night. Luckily I called a week ahead to be sure we had the right room or we would’ve been in the same boat. Pool and hot tub were always open and fresh towels were aplenty.

We wish they switched up the muffins in the morning, as my kids didn’t care for them at all. Also we tried to check in a little early, and were told they’d call when the room was ready. Finally after check in time, I called to ask if the room was ready and was not politely told I’d have to come in and check, as there was a line of people checking in. Out toilet wasn’t cleaned when we checked in and when I called down to tell them, I was told he’d make a note of it. It was cleaned 2 days later. Our room was cleaned daily after that point, even though it said it was only cleaned on two days for guests that stay a week.

Got the 10th floor and and beautiful view of the ocean. Stayed here 3 times now and this was by far the best view we’ve gotten. Room was clean and comfortable. The access to the beach from the pool area is always nice, pool and hot tub were both clean. Overall, very happy with our stay.

This time one of the elevators stunk of weed and us and some of the other people staying here very quickly could realize what it was, the last time we stayed, some people by the pool area stunk of weed as well. Considering you’re not supposed to be smoking on the property, I would think someone in management would try to figure out who the smell is coming from and do something about it. Just an nasty smell I really don’t want to be around in a place I paid to stay at.

The room was perfect for us,kitchen was good, able to make meals in the room. waking up to the sunrise over the ocean is wonderful. Bed comfortable and spacious. pool and hot tub area was great over looking the ocean

Shower head had no settings on it so water blasted out and water went everywhere, also hit you hard that you felt beat up when you got out. You need better coffee for the mornings.

The hotel and room were clean. The beds were really comfortable. Hands down the most comfortable beds I've ever had in a hotel! The room was spacious. The view was awesome. The pool area was clean and offered a great view of the ocean. I would definitely go back there for future trips.

The construction on the hotel next to ours. Not that Nautilus can help that. Also, we had to park across the street because there weren't enough parking spaces. That happened once, but It really wasn't a big deal, just an inconvenience.

Location right on the beach. Entrance to drive vehicle onto the beach only couple blocks away. The hotel was clean, the room was ready on time. We loved the kitchen and full size refrigerator. Balcony had a wonderful view of ocean.

I wish was a little closer for walk to Main St and Boardwalk area. Its 1.3 miles to Main St. Not terribly far. Breakfast included coffee, tea and muffins. I wish they had a fruit selection as well. Also a 2nd hot tub would be great. It was difficult to find room in hot tub at night.

Location of the hotel was beautiful, love that you can walk straight onto the beach from the pool area. The hotel itself was very clean and staff were nice. Close to lots of good food and activities.

Hotel room was clean except for the fact that walking on the carpet floor barefoot made my feet dirty so I just wore socks. And the sinks faucet in the bathroom was missing the filter to where turning it fully on sprayed water out really hard, so just had to make sure to not have in fully on and it was fine.

the property was conveniently located just a few minutes from the boardwalk and downtown area where I spent most of my night. The view of the ocean from my king suite was absolutely beautiful.

I was a little disappointed by the size of the bathroom in the king suite. It was very tiny and the shower seemed a little outdated. The bathroom door was also a hassle trying to get open from the inside of the bathroom. It made you feel like you were trapped lol

The hotel itself was very clean. The pool was nice but was mostly warm just because of the temp outside, the staff cleaned the patio/pool area every morning! The hot tub was very nice but pretty small and more than 2 people overflowed it. The 24/7 beach access was so nice for late night beach walks. The room was clean and spacious.

The bathroom was not only small (which was expected) but the ventilation was lacking and if you did anything smelly in there you had to leave the door closed for hours or it would drift through the room...so bring some bathroom spray! This is no fault of the hotel but there wasn't much in walking distance as far as restaurants or souvenir shops, there was a cigar shop across the street that had a pool table but I didn't get to check it out. Also, I didn't realize on the reservation, but it is a smoke free property so you can't smoke on the premises or balcony, which was no big deal to me but 3 people I was with are smokers and got very tired of walking in and out lol (serves them right, but just thought I'd mention it in case that's important to anyone)
