Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Destin

The hotel is conveniently located near Henderson State Park. Ample parking is available for guests. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping service was excellent. I particularly appreciated that the hotel didn't have a damp or musty smell, as I dislike that.

The room was small, and the breakfast offered was rather ordinary. It feels like every hotel serves the same generic breakfast these days. The hot dishes seemed artificial and lacked the authentic taste of scrambled eggs, patties, and sausages. I'm uncertain about the ingredients used because they didn't resemble their usual flavors. Additionally, the TV HDMI was locked, preventing me from using it as an external monitor for work or entertaining the kids with my AFTV. Furthermore, the internet TV available on the TV had a limited selection of apps.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the pool area.

The breakfast room was a little too cold and your food got cold before you finished eating. Was not told that we had to pay for WiFi. Was just told that you had it. Also, on our bill, there were two items that we did not purchase. We never purchased anything from the store at Fairfield. We called several times with no answer. The phone just rang and rang and then it would hang up. Finally getting someone to answer the phone, I was asked to hold. I said, "OK". Instead of coming back to the phone, the phone hung up. I did not call back again. Will try again tomorrow.

thé receptionist, I think her name is Stephanie, not sure wasn’t true or was not well informed; when we ask about a luggage cart she said they don’t have. was about 11 pm, next morning I saw the luggage carts; we could have use it the night before because we had and elderly person with us, same with the handicap parking; in top the receptionist give us a room, the was occupied, so I am glad was a lady with children in that room. because my 16 years old went and open the door, I and glad wasn’t a man or a couples room, TG. so that was not a good service. we leave early morning because was raining anyway.

Great Location for exploring Destin (we were there mainly to shop at see the New Year's Eve fireworks at Baytowne Wharf). It was a quick stop so thought this would be nothing more than a transit hotel. It was much more pleasant than that. Very walm welcome and even got us a reduced room rate at check-in! Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and restocked almost immediately. Staff were all very friendly, just couldn't fault it. Parking was also easy.

Breakfast was great! A/C was ice cold just the way we like it. Beds were comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

I requested a play pin for our 1 yr old to sleep. Andnit was there waiting in our room for us. Didn't even have to ask the front desk. When we walked in the greeted us so friendly and welcoming. I loved how it was such a fast check in. And the pool was heated! Breakfast was great and had a good selection. Henderson beach was right across the street. And Walmart like 3 min down. Even after hurricane Ian. This place was tip top

Location and parking was great. Price was ok. Room was comfortable. However for the breakfast they only served bacon like once I'm guessing they ran out, then it was Turkey sausage. I prefer the bacon so was disappointed with that. Also make sure there's enough breakfast for the amount of guests staying cause it looked like they were giving small portions, and there were a lot of guests coming down for breakfast every morning. But otherwise breakfast was good.

Nothing else I can think of

I really liked the fact that the gal up front heard what I needed. She set us up in a room by a side door entrance which was right by the pool, great parking, and the laundry facilities. She made it very convenient and easily accessible to do our laundry. I liked the kindness of all the employees with a good morning and even the lovely manager that I saw twice out of our4 day stay that asked us about our vacation and wished us a great day. She was great! I liked the cleanliness of the place. Not alot of people using the indoor pool....yet every morning I saw them cleaning the floors around pool as well as checking the chemical levels of the water. They seems extremely in too of the cleanliness of the hotel as well as their customer service. Breakfast was GREAT....they had a variety of foods......from eggs, omelettes, waffles, breads, cereals, oatmeals, fruits and yogurts as well as great coffee and juices. This hotel was one of my favorites I would definitely recommend as well as stay there any time I am visiting Destin.

The only things I didn't like were the beds were too soft just not firm enough and caused me back aches. Also the room was a bit too small for our luggage to be comfortably opened up and accessed.

Location was great! The room was plenty spacious for my family.

The front desk lady I spoke to to originally prepaid on the room was very rude. I wanted to use a couple different cards and she acted as if I was inconveniencing her and got an attitude. We had mold in our bathroom shower. I did not tell the staff which I should have but I’m not one to complain to make it seem like I’m trying to get a discount. And the breakfast was horrible. I know it’s a continental breakfast but for the money they charge a night the company had more than enough money to invest in better sausage and eggs.

The indoor Pool was awesome, clean, warm, I loved it!!! The outdoor pool looked inviting and very clean, however, it was a bit chilly. The breakfast was very attractive with multiple options. The room was very clean and nice as well Bonus was having Henderson State Park across the street. 10 minute walk!

I didn’t like the room doors that were very loud when closing. You could hear the hallway noise of doors closing. Also the breakfast could include low fat yogurt for those dieting.
