Best Western Sugar Sands Inn & Suites

Good location, delicious breakfast. There is a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. Very nice personnel.

Great place and location. The staff was wonderful. It was storming when we arrived, and we were able to check in early. I will definitely book here again

It was in a good location, near Publix and stores, just across the street was restaurants. The beach was about 1/2 mile but it’s a nice walk once you get over main highway. The staff was nice and responsive. The room was big with two beds and a door, could have slept four easy. The breakfast was fair. I have no complaints.

For the money this is a good deal and better than the holiday inn just across the street. No real complaints. As a suggestion it might be nice to have a golf cart to transport guests to the beach.

Christine at the breakfast buffet was excellent. She was fast efficient friendly you need to give that woman a big raise. The staff was always friendly and wanting to help with anything you need it. The side that had been recently renovated was beautiful.

The beds were not put together properly and made a lot of noise like cleaning metal. They offered to move us, but we chose to stay as we like the newly renovated area. The AC drip line was evidently clogged up and leaking on the floor. they came in and vacuumed out the pan, but that did not solve the problem. We still had to keep a towel where it was leaking the next day.

We stayed at 3 hotels during our trip from New Orleans to Destin. This Best Western was by far the best. Very clean, the rooms are just like the pictures, very nice. Staff was amazing, breakfast each day was good and plentiful.

We came with some friends and had to take over the lobby so we could visit with eachother and play games. It would have been nice if they had a more lounge like area or more lobby space. Or even just opened up the breakfast room during the day. Though we do understand why they don't, for cleanliness and safety reasons with the breakfast setup being so open.

The overall hotel was pretty clean and the staff were all wonderful, the breakfast was not so great (powdered eggs are not good lol) , but they offered a lot of different options and kept it hot and fresh. We had some rude people next door who woke us several times throughout the night our first night, but a friendly tap on the wall stopped that real quick. The hot tub was broke the first two days but once it got fixed it was wonderful! As well as the heated pool that the kid enjoyed. There were plumbing issues throughout the hotel while we were there buy they seemed to resolve that issue pretty quickly. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely book here again!

Staff was kind and helpful. Room was clean. Good size. Had all we needed. The pillows I loved!!! Plan to call Corp and see if I can buy 4. Lol. Pool was clean. Hot tub we didn't use too hot but it also was up and running. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Breakfast needs to do Better. Change it up a bit. We were there 9 days and had same breakfast. Powered eggs, sausage links, cereal, I think oatmeal and waffles. Fix ice machine on 2nd floor.

The pool was warm. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet at sleep time. Stores were close you could walk and shop. Staff was amazing and friendly. Landscape was nice.

Hated people wearing mask, hard to communicate. Didn’t like having no breakfast room to sit and visit with people. No hot food served. Really hated having no housekeeping! We had to make our own beds, get our own towels, take out trash, pick up toilet paper and clean up after ourselves! Not much of vacation for parents having to do the same stuff we do at home😡I feel we should’ve got a huge discount for this reason. If I would’ve known that we got zero housekeeping I probably would of stayed home.

The beds slept really well it was very quiet from room to room. Place was spotless and their staff is a marvelous team. Always friendly and always smiling. We will stay here again! My most favorite vacation stay!!!! And restaurants and shops were close by along with the beach locations. Location is perfect!!! We loved this place!

The kindergarten commode. It’s too low to the ground. Y’all need to upgrade and get taller and handy cap accessible commodes. Get rid of little bitty commodes.

One of the days there couldn’t watch tv. The tv talked but didn’t show pictures. Also I understand the pool closes at 10 but you should still be able to sit outside at the tables and just look at the water just for fresh air I think that sucks not being able to do that. I think we’re grown enough to follow rules not to get in a pool if not allowed, but we can still just get fresh air out there.
