Hyatt Residence Club Key West, Windward Pointe

The 2 bedroom apartment was of a superior quality. It was comfortably fitted out with quality furnishings and bedding. The kitchen had everything needed and there was a generous supply of garbage sacks, dishwasher tabs, dish sponge etc., as well as luxury toiletries all provided by the resort. The view of the pool and the ocean was exquisite and the furniture on the balcony exceeded our expectations. It was lovely to have breakfast on the balcony and watch the sun rise and the rocking chair was so relaxing.

The lounge sofa is a sofa-bed and these are not the most comfortable to sit on in the evening for a longer time.

There are few places in Key West that offer such amenities as this Hyatt location. We desire a location that is not downtown and a place that offers more solitude compared to the downtown hustle and bar scene. The upside is that it is located by the airport so you can walk to/from so it is convenient. The downside is that you can hear the planes, although they do shutdown during the night sleeping hours.

The front sleeping room is loud - so if you are a light sleeper, you will not enjoy a peaceful night.

The view from the room’s balcony and the pool deck were incredible! The unit was spacious and very comfortable.

The room’s hot water was not quite up to par, but it was doable. My biggest concern was the little bugs that bite us while sitting on the balcony….we tried bug spray and a citronella candle and still got eaten.

The pool was absolutely wonderful. Our teen children really enjoyed swimming during the day and late into the evening. My husband and I enjoyed it as well. We were very happy with the location despite the airport being behind us. We loved the landscaping and wildlife there as well.

There was one main concern my husband and I had, and that was that there was some damage to the facility outside our rooms. There were braces that seemed to be holding the building up. Also, there were no cabinets under the sink which exposed the water pipes.

The property is gorgeous and the 2 bedroom apartment was beautifully appointed. The beds were very comfortable as was the pull out couch! My only regret is we couldn't stay longer...

The location is great, away from the crowd and busyness. It was quiet and near Smathers Beach. You need a car to drive to town, but the distance to everywhere in town is not far. Fifteen minutes was the farthest we drove. The apartment was well-equipped and comfortable for long stays.

We didn’t like the sales pitch. When checking in, they told us we had a welcome gift and parking permit at concierge, but it was really to try to schedule a time share sale presentation. There was no welcome package at all. In fact, it wasn’t very welcoming at all, just a pushy sales interaction that we didn’t like. The staff in general wasn’t great, either, but it didn’t ruin our stay, just more of a nuisance. And although it was a nice stay, it was definitely not 4-stars and was overpriced.

Beautiful hotel! The room was spacious, had a great view and was well stocked with necessities. The pool and surrounding areas are fantastic and very quiet. Would absolutely stay here again!

Being that it's on the far side of the island you do have to plan for travel to the Duval street area. We used Uber and it wasn't very expensive to do so. That is the only negative if you are planning to spend a lot of time down on the other side of the island.

I loved the hotel room 😍 it was amazing, with amazing view. Room was clean and had everything needed to have a great vacation. The food at Abby's grill was superb especially when Daniel Kat made my birthday meal. Thank you!! You are awesome!!

I did not like the biting gnats, got bit up pretty bad so have No Natz available if you are prone to getting bit. It's available at the souvenir shop attached to the restaurant.

How close it was to the beach, it was clean and fully stocked kitchen! Beautiful grounds. But there was a homeless man who snuck into the pool and cleaned himself early morning, it was gross and we didn’t use the pool after that. Maybe think of something to keep it exclusive to hotel guests

The only thing I had an issue with was the lady who tries to book you extra stuff to do while you are there. We told her we already paid for parasailing and she asked who with. When we told her she rolled her eyes and said their people they book through are better. They make sure we are safe for the whole parasailing. Her demeanor changed and was rude. Her prices even with discounts were higher then we paid. I would never recommend her to sit down and talk with.
