The Capitana Key West

Very clean and pretty hotel. Our rooms were amazing. Complementary water bottels at every time Laundry possibilities are very cheap (compared to other hotels we stayed in) Very nice pool and outdoor area.and the hotel was quiet and relaxing. Loved our stay there and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Maybe a thing that could be changed: The ground level rooms had worms or caterpillars all over the balcony walls (coming from the plants). Luckily we had a room on an upper level so we did not have this problem but we saw them from the breakfast area on a couple of balconies. I imagine this could be annoying when you stay in one of those rooms as I wouldn't want to sit there..

The hotel was modern and the facilities were excellent. Loads of free parking. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious with a lovely balcony with a view of the gulf. Little attentions to the detail such as free bottles of water on each floor and ice that was already bagged just showed how the hotel cares about their guests. Location is perfect, not too busy and only a short uber ride to Duval street etc. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Well done

Great location if you want a quiet stay in Key West but very close to all of the activity. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, incredible pool, and a really nice sand beach. Their restaurant, McKee's Tiki Bar serves excellent food and great drinks.

The property was clean and updated.

our room was nice but the generator was located outside our balcony so sitting outside was very noisy and not enjoyable

Breakfast was pretty poor for the quality of the hotel overall

amazing resort. the pool, the hot tub, the ocean, the room, the building, and the location were all incredible. comfortable beds too. loved everything about this place.

What a gorgeous hotel 🤩 our room was very spacious and had everything we needed with gorgeous views out to the pool area. especially liked the coffee machine and ironing board and iron in the room. The pool area was stunning with gorgeous views out to the water and lovely little private beach area, and we had no issues getting sun-loungers anytime of day. The pool bar was great cocktail’s delicious and food really good too. The hotel was in a perfect location for us as honeymooners, we didn’t want to be in the heart of duval street but were close enough each day/night to drive down on scooters or grab a taxi for $10. (should also mention scooter rental - sunshine scooters is just across the road) Reception staff were very friendly and helpful providing a map of key west for us. Especially liked the daily text messages to make sure you were enjoying your stay and if you needed anything else. Breakfast was fabulous each day filling us up with bagels, eggs, bacon, porridge, fresh fruit and yoghurts. We are already planning our return trip to The Capitana with our parents hopefully January next year! Such a gorgeous hotel we can’t wait to return and show it off to our mums! Thank you for such a fantastic end to our 3 week long honeymoon!

I had an issue with forgetting to bring the bank card that I paid for the stay with from Scotland to put down as deposit during our stay. However upon check in this issue was resolved with a lovely lady on reception allowing me to use my other credit card I had with me and showing our passports as proof. However upon check out it was a different lady and I found her to be quite rude and patronizing. I tried to explain that the issue was already resolved upon check in however she continued to ignore what I was saying and told me that ‘She would let it slide this one time’ very patronizing and embarrassing with some other guests around checking out at the same time. that was just one small issue with 1 person and I wouldn’t let it tarnish my view of the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is new and everything is fresh. The hotel has beautifully designed rooms with a small breakfast area and the most expensive Nespresso coffee maker and Vertuo capsules, a sufficiently large refrigerator, excellent beds and mattresses, a comfortable sofa, and a separate breakfast table in the room. While in many hotels you have to eat at your desk, in Capitana it’s a pleasure to have breakfast or late dinner :) in your room. The territory has a nice pool with a spa, a beach area, and a perfect bar with delicious cocktails ($14-16). Breakfast is basic but quite sufficient, and there is a pleasant opportunity to drink coffee outside. The hotel has ample parking (it's a problem in Key West), and the location of the hotel is very convenient.

The pool is a little shallow - a maximum of 4.5 feet, which is not very convenient for adults, but easier for children.

The entire place was immaculately clean and perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well as attentive to our needs. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed with crisp and clean linens. The view from the room was beautiful and relaxing. The atmosphere at the pool was relaxing, with great service and delicious food and drinks.

Not much to say here... Water pressure in the shower was poor, but that is probably a normal thing everywhere in Key West. There was no restaurant in the hotel.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Hotel is very cozy, clean, spacious and staff is very friendly. Loved the check in texts to ensure we were enjoying our stay and if anything was needed. Being a coffee lover, having nespresso in the room was a nice treat. Bringing our pup on the trip and receiving a gift bag for him, was also a nice touch. There are many staff members to thank for their outstanding service but mainly for taking the time to chat and get to know guests. Lisa, Andras were two staff members that really went above and beyond. Our stay is exactly what we were looking for, to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle.

I wouldn’t say I don’t like but definitely having warmer blankets, a simple text got us extra ones lol
