Kimpton Winslow's Bungalows, an IHG Hotel

Our room had a deck with a sofa. We loved it. Would suggest it is better than chairs in the yard. The bed slept amazingly. The bathroom had all new plumbing. The shower was perfect and big. Also had a higher toilet. The decor in the bungalow was very nice. They served continental breakfast. Just had to be there early or no coffee or a good selection of food. The staff was excellent. All I had to do was text Laura and it was taken care of. Loved the three pools. Nice bar except prices are a little high after happy hour. Enjoyed the grounds, amazing, beautiful & peaceful.

I have no complaints.

The room and location of the hotel were great. The hotel is beautiful, very tropical feel all around. The breakfast was basic but a nice added touch. The pools are smaller but still nice and relaxing if not too crowded. They have bikes on property that you can take for free. The location is further away from the busier streets but within walking distance.

The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything at all night hours, especially if you are closer to the street.

The property is beautiful overall, discreet and at the same tims in line with local architecture and style. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The cottages have 2 floors, most of them, with up to probably 6 rooms maximum in the same building. It is within walking distance of the historic streets and all the hustle and bustle, yet quiet. It was much bigger than I was expecting, I thought there would only be 10-12 cottages and there were over 60 units in total, I think.

We had booked two rooms and both were on the upper floors. We had to carry our own luggage up the stairs. If you have a lot of heavy luggage as we did consider asking for a ground floor room. The breakfast is nonexistent. I will never get used to the so called "American" breakfast. Boiled eggs (cold), cream cheese and some pastry. Better do not sell that as a breakfast...

The property was clean and well kept! It was like an oasis with the beautiful trees and plants everywhere, it was an awesome view! I loved my room, it was spacious and always cleaned when I returned back to the room each day! I also enjoyed the two pools and the bar on site that was clean and not too crowded, I had one of the best mojito’s ever! The staff was amazing!!! Everyone greeted me with a smile and was so polite! Karla even went out of her way to help me find stores nearby after my luggage was delayed after landing there in Key West! I am so grateful for the kindness of the amazing staff here, I will book here again without a doubt!!!

I loved everything!

It seemed like it had ‘big’ hotel amenities and service without the cookie cutter look. Many varieties of rooms, garden pathways instead of hallways, nice continental breakfast, a great balance of class and character inside and out. We also had a few issues on our trip (two of our party arrived 10 hours ahead of us and we were paying, one member of party got quite sick one day resulting in extra housekeeping needs, they left both of their keys in their room when they came out to talk to us, etc.) and the staff was incredibly helpful in making those instances seem like minor parts of our vacation.

The only ‘complaints’ would be that they ran out of bananas and coffee mugs a couple of times but that’s so minor. They always had paper coffee cups and oranges (in addition to everything else).

The resort was beautiful!! The location was wonderful very close to DuVal Street and other restaurants, bars and shopping. We walked everywhere - rented a golf cart one day so we could explore the whole island. Ashwin in the front office was wonderful-he was there for any questions we had and also helped us extend our trip which was awesome. Keith and "DeWitte" at the pool bar were very friendly - we had a great time!

There were two things that were not so great - the first was we wish there would have been more variety to the free breakfast options and that the pools were warmer.

Loved these cute bungalows in Key West! just a couple blocks off of Duval street made for nice strolls around the town. The landscape was beautiful! so tropical & lush & very well maintained too! our room was very nice with a separate living area & a fridge to keep drinks in. My favorite was the oversized front porch which overlooked the bar & pool areas. it had nice seating to sit & listen to the music from the band that plays by the pool during the afternoon. Every morning they served up a nice continental breakfast right across from our porch in the bar area. A nice man with a "food trailer" behind the bar served up french toast, scrambled eggs or what ever you asked for! Everything he cooked was fantastic!

I wish the band played longer we often missed them because we were in town! I liked everything else!

The bungalow I had was right by the pool and was bigger than I expected. I had all of the amenities I needed including an iron and free wifi. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was great. The bed was super comfortable and I loved everything about the bungalow itself. The location was spot on and I'll definitely be coming back.

Breakfast was terrible. If you were lucky there were a few bagels or muffins left over, but otherwise choice was severely limited. The breakfast experience was also not great. Everyone sat in silence around the pool bar, which wasn't spacious. Breakfast would be massively improved with more choice, more stock and some background music to put people at ease. Other than that no real issues. The pool could have been a little cleaner, but generally fine.

The property was lovely and laid out very well. You felt like you had plenty of privacy. There are 2 pools so there was always a spot for you and it never felt crowded. The breakfast area was relaxing. The food is what you would expect for a hotel. Our room was roomy and we enjoyed the sitting area in front. The staff was amazing! We could easily walk to Duvall street, Mallory Square, and the southernmost point and the local parks and we were not in the middle of all the action so it was quiet. We would definitely stay again.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.

My husband and I took a little road trip to Key West in November to get a break from our pandemic routine. We chose Kimpton bungalows because it looked really safe, lots of outdoors and privacy. We loved it! The rooms are modern and spacious, everything is outdoors, and the grounds are beautiful. No maid service which was good for 4 nights.. The staff was great, and the location can’t be beat, highly recommend it to anyone!

We would have really loved a coffee maker in our room, going outside and to the pool area for coffee wasn’t our favorite, and we thought we would have a private patio, but shared a very large covered porch with the room next door. It turned out fine, because they didn’t really use it, but could have been an issue.
