Comfort Suites Lake City

Well managed, and probably the best choice among the dozens of charmless chain hotels in this area. Everything was in good shape and comfortable. The pool is small but the area around it is nice for being stuck next to a parking lot, with decent furniture. Breakfast was OK for this kind of place.

Prices at these hotels have gone through the roof recently with little relation to the quality of the construction or ambiance. We paid $168 for a small suite, and that was a deal. The area is really bleak - highways, low-grade strip malls, and endless parking lots. None of the hotels make an effort to be different or have some greenery around them. And I get tired of eating off paper plates with plastic forks and plastic cups. For the money you would expect more.

Everything. Everything about the stay at Comfort Inn exceeded our expectations. I had a little problem with the bed but I don't think it was the bed, I think it was me. I'm so used to a Select Comfort airbed, spring type beds now bother me, I couldn't get comfortable.

Nothing, everything was great. The size of the room was unreal. Probably the largest room my wife and I have ever stayed in.

We stayed at the Lake City comfort suites on the 11th and the 14th of April. We had planned on staying the night of the 11th. Lake City was a good location on the way to Sarasota. On the 14th we had not planned to stay but circumstances caused us to change plans. We had been very pleased on the night of the 11th so we arranged or second night online as we traveled. We were treated with kindness and excellent care both times. JUJU the night manager remembered us on the 14th and made us feel most welcome. Very comfortable beds. Very clean, which is so important.

Breakfast was very good, a great selection of breakfast foods offered. Staff was attentive to the area replacing items as necessary without any need to ask someone . Was kept clean in area of eating, tables. The girls working in that area were attentive to your needs. The lobby, elevators, rooms were very clean. They had sanitized the room also in between having guests in them. Give this hotel a 10 rating, the very best.

There was nothing we found didn't like.

We like everything about this hotel and look forward to staying every year on our trip down to Florida from Minnesota!

Check in was very quick and easy, room was clean and plenty of room for our family. Loved that this came with a free breakfast!

The ONLY thing that we didn’t like was that the sink area and toilet/shower area weren’t separated. It slowed down the getting ready process for our family with teens.

Lots of parking for Uhauls and trucks! We had a 26' truck with an auto transport on the back and parking was not a problem at this hotel. The pool looked really nice but we ran out of time. Lots of great eating places nearby! Check in was a breeze and JuJu made us feel right at home.

The desk clerk welcomed me (I was asking for an early check-in) and seemed personally interested in making sure this would be a good experience. When I checked out, this same clerk asked how my appointment had gone and said she had been very happy to have met me. Wow! What a good feeling. The room was great including several chairs, a couch, comfortable bed, sizeable bathroom. I had paid about $30 more than a lower-rated motel and received a LOT more in resulting satisfaction. I saved on price by paying in advance and not having cancellation privileges.

The ONLY slightly critical observation about the room is that the king-sized bed was slightly too large for the room with the result that the walking space between the bed and the air conditioner was a little cramped. This hotel offered a full-service free breakfast with plenty of choices but instead of self-serve, one orders at a counter. My wife and I both thought we didn't like this as much as we do the normal self-serve style as going back for something extra felt a little limiting.

The property and room were very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Lindy and Juju who were at the front desk were efficient, friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast were constantly cleaning and helping customers.

The only negative was that we had to request housekeeping. However, when I did there was no problem getting what I requested taken care of.
