Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore - Airport Area, an IHG Hotel

The atmosphere and the cleanliness of the hotel. Although the food was too expensive, it was ridiculous. Not to mention just a bottled soda out of the little machine. It was almost 5 dollars. That’s ridiculous not to mention that we had to pay a $10 parking fee. The only live 52 minutes away. We were there for the John Edwards event. Not to mention we didn’t even stay the whole night. We laugh about 12 AM and we arrive there it 3:30 PM checked out at 12 AM we didn’t stay the whole time not to mention we had to put a $60 deposit down on the room as well. I thought that was ridiculous so having to put a deposit of $60 on the room plus a $10 parking fee was

That was here was nice. The roads were nice like staying on the ninth floor. We also like the fact of having to have a key to get on the elevator to go up I need to 84s. They made us feel very safe.

The location is great, with the Tampa airport very close by and there are two large shopping malls within minutes of the hotel. The property is in great shape; everything seems up to date in terms of amenities. I would probably stay here again if it wasn't for what happened on the final night of my stay.

There was a loud party across the hall from me on my third night staying there. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, hoping something would be done. Nothing was done about it, and this party continued until the late-night hours. I'll never understand why people use hotel rooms to be loud and obnoxious. It's just plain rude. It's even more frustrating when you're paying big bucks to get a good night's sleep, while the hotel seems unwilling to address what is a clear violation of their conduct policy.

Location was good. While the property is not new, it was fairly well maintained. Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Very accommodating.

The AC was a little inadequate for this time of year. Half way through our stay, the one microwave on our floor went out. Though maintenance was called repeatedly, it was never restored. The microwave on the floor above was also not operational. We were surprised to have to pay daily for parking on the premises.

it was very convenient to just about anything in tampa. 5 min from airport, 10 min to downtown, 30 min to clearwater, two malls w/in walking distance & surrounded by a lot of good places to eat! the outdoor pool & patio area was very cute! the hotel was clean, the rooms were very clean (and they look just like the pictures online!) & the staff were very nice & helpful!

only downside to this hotel is that they do not provide a complimentary breakfast, you have to pay like $15 for a breakfast.

First night we had a medical emergency, but the staff were very good in helping clean up the mess. Last day my mobile phone had fallen out of my pocket into the courtesy bus which I didn't realise I had lost until I was in the airport, but the driver was kind enough to find me at the airport and return it to me. I found the staff to be very helpful with all my problems. I liked the free courtesy bus ride from the hotel to the airport, and they will pick you up if you call them from the airport. They have a pool but because of the medical emergency we had we never got to use it. Compared to other hotels in the area it was reasonably priced.

The location of the property was great. The pool and jacuzzi were relaxing.

Housekeepers, didn’t have towels on carts. Went downstairs to get them, just for them to call over a radio to bring them. Didn’t make sense. That’s minor though. Had to participate in a fire drill but they moved quickly. It was actually on my floor. Also, on the website it stated $50 deposit on booking and then I looked on the original website. I didn’t find where it was deposit of $50/per night. But I received it back, it was the principal. Thought shuttles ran every 30 min but didn’t know you had to call for one from the airport.

Location is great. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful with any issues and didn't have attitude.

Didn't like having to pay for parking. Considering that room was expensive enough. This charge was just a rip off and a way to bleed more money from customers. Also did like that there wasn't any security safes in the rooms.

SUPER CLEAN & COMFY BEDS. this is an amazing location for everything in tampa. everything i went to was 15 minutes away and it’s not in a heavy traffic area. plus it’s SUPER close to the highway. so it’s easy to get on and off. it’s also located next to the mall, you could even walk there if you wanted to. i loved that you had to have a card to use the elevator. the manager said happy birthday to me on my birthday and every time he saw us he always asked us if everything was good. i will definitely be using this location every time i visit tampa.

Parking. there should be way more parking but it’s okay because the parking garage is in the same lot. also, for everyone super complaining about the parking situation, it’s really not that bad. just grab one of the dolly things for your luggage at the front and load and unload the car there.

One you walked in everything was super clean and quiet. We were able to do an early check in. Room was super clean and very comfortable. There was no microwave which was fine and the hot water took a long time to turn on but other than that place I couldn’t hear any other guests only when they step out their rooms which is normal.

Parking spaces were a bit tight not that many spaces either that we’ve seen.

I personally didn't like the food. Too expensive and not good. The waitress brought me the wrong order and cold. The room service very bad. I waited for more than 45 minutes for my food and I called to the front desk and no one knew where my food was. I had to go in person downstairs and when I finally got my food, the grilled chicken breast was very dry and no flavor and the fries burned. I paid $15 for very bad food. Went directly to the garbage.
