Hyatt Place Augusta

Breakfast was good value. Room good size. Next time I need to request handicap walk in shower . My error. Staff friendly Clean property

For some reason lobby/ first floor had stong funky sewer smell all weekend. Our key cards kept failing. Battery in door needed exchange. Pool not open. Too bad it was a nice weekend to use No microwave in room or lobby to use. Coffee in lobby post 9am breakfast would be nice Price a bit high but location was perfect for us.

Location. Modern room design. Sofa was nice, large L shaped.

Room had burn mark in carpet, floor and room had a smoke smell despite being a non-smoking hotel. Water pressure in shower was way too low. Bathroom door was modern but not close to sound proof. Could hear every sound. For a room this size and price was surprised at no microwave. Only 4 standard pillows on a king bed, could have either been more or king pillows.

I really love the top floor expanded room with the actual bedroom that is separate from a nice living room and only the upper floor rooms on the east side of the building offer an excellent view over I20 and Augusta area and the sunrise from that room makes for a great view every morning!!!

The only thing I did not like which it’s my fault. The room service was knocking on my door before 9a.m and usually in my everyday life I’m up but if I’m staying at a hotel I tend to more so take my time getting out of bed but again I should have put the do not disturb on my door.

The view from the 3rd floor was over a rather large ledge that prevented you from seeing much. Also, at approximately 11:00 pm the TV went out. Quiet time is from 10 - 6 so I was thinking they turned off the TV which I have never heard of but when I checked out the next morning the desk clerk said no and that was it 🤔 Also they advertise a restaurant and bar. The bar is the restaurant and they have about 5 things on it. The bartender was exhausted and let us know how tired she was and I don’t believe she ever smiled.

A mini microwave in room would have been nice to reheat leftovers

Location was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Room was comfortable. Although you can hear lots in hallways and doors closing shut at all hours. Requested for room cleaning.

Noise late at night trying to sleep. Requesting housekeeping for empty garbage and receiving hand towels, face cloths.

The breakfast was no quite what I expected, i.e. no bacon, sausage or grits. We are in the South and these things are part of breakfast. What was available was good! Overall, we were happy with our stay. The price was a little more than I had expected to get but not too bad.

I had just stayed the week before at the other Hyatt House Downtown and so I missed their parking garage - no fault of Hyatt Place and the security feature of needing your room key for the elevator.

When walking i the door. It was someone standing at the reception desk. waiting to assist my family and I. I was visiting Augusta Ga Burn Clinic for my 9 month old. In the staff and the comfort of the room. Made us feel like we was at home.

I love this property in will be staying for our next doctor visit I December.
