Mountain Valley Inn

King room had plenty of space, which was great for a 4 day stay. Larger fridge was appreciated. Very comfy bed. Loved front desk & housekeeping gals. Great lighting in & out of room. Quiet! Price was right for average room.

Smoking apparently allowed in front of room while in a rocker. A # of ppl did that. I had to go into my room or take my rocker around corner to back of property. Only other negative was pitiful breakfast. Being most important meal of day, I had to go to restaurant twice in 4 days before hiking.

Clean room, clean bathroom, sanitized commode, clean shower, nice made-up bed, great maid service, clean parking lot, comfortable bed, very clean microwave and refrigerator.

When I turned heat on, there was a strange smell coming from unit. Instead of one wash cloth per bed, two wash clothes per bed would have been idea. Hence, a washcloth for the morning and one for night.

Extremely clean; very comfortable mattresses. It's an older motel and it seems the owners are updating. They were super nice and if you needed anything all you had to do was ask. We stayed for two nights, using this as our home base. We didn't get normal room cleaning due to shortage of help but were asked if we minded in advance. Seems help shortage is to be expected everywhere you travel now, but it was nice to be informed and asked approval. We had no problems.

The commode could be updated as it was very low and not a fan of plastic seats. Also, it was difficult for handicapped to get in bathtub as the tub sides were high.

The shower is hot and good water pressure. Mattress is comfortable. HBO channel on the tv. Staff are nice and courteous. Furthermore, they answer quick to your requests.

The property could have a renovation, and it could look better. There is a large area to do lots of entertainments.

The young man in attendance was like family and of course pet's weren't allowed with the exception of our service animals of which are a strong family Link,, also have to have paperwork for our animals which is streight up for us...we all have to have a form of identification... grocery store next door and dollar general and much more

For some one who likes the early breakfast they would have to go to the top of the property... however for me I couldn't ask for more.

It was a very nice motel. Check in was easy, nice staff. I asked for extra towels and got them with no no problem. Room is very nice and clean. The view of the mountains from the back window is beautiful. I only recommend that the pillows be replaced. The bed was comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Easy parking to access the room. There's a nice playground and a pool!

Toilets way too low for those of us over fifty! Some plumbing issues such as leaky tub / shower faucet which was leaving stains on tub there need to fix or get slot of CLR cleaner to clean stains on tub sink had two settings off or fire hydrant on would blow you away! Ther room was clean but they need to pay more attention to base boards that are getting dirty dusty build up that will spoil their meticulous paint job

breakfast not before 7:00 AM, had hoped for 6:00 AM. Misleading shower lever, which showed “H” for Hot, but gold water came out. I had to try several positions till I realized that Hot and Cold was inverted. Plumbing mishaps happen, but lack of instructions is costing the hotel stars in their review.

Nice clean comfortable stay. Perfect for a couple of nights to visit the area.

The hotel is a little dated and the walls are a bit thin.

It was only after I checked in was I informed there was no water and it should be back on in a hour and it was, older motel, walls are thin you can hear everything side of you and above you, but it was very clean.
