Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Helen

This is an excellent hotel. The staff was friendly at every time we encountered them. The room we got was fantastic and well laid out. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the shower worked well. Just an excellent stay. The King Suite we stayed in was outstanding. Had no significant problems. Very comfortable. Also: The breakfast was good. A lot of variety. Hot and cold breakfast options.

Perhaps the only complaint I really had was that I could not get the TV to link to my tablets, phones, or my Roku stick. The instructions on the TV were useless and I don't even think that tv.marriott.com is a valid link. It just straight up didn't work. The only other complaint was extremely minor. While I understand that covid restrictions are keeping the staff from cleaning the rooms, I think it would be helpful to provide a somewhat larger trash can in lieu of this. Would just make things a little easier on both staff and guests.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the room was basic, it was comfortable. The air conditioner was great! The hotel was also clean and well maintained. They offered a hot but simple breakfast.

The indoor pool was very small, and there was no outdoor pool.

A Little pricey for a single night’s stay.It’s understandable that quality & comfort costs.But maybe just a little more budget friendly for a single night.

newness, cleanliness, coffee available at 7pm check in, which was great after a long day, eggs were warm and fluffy, ready made waffles were tasty, sausages good. beds were very comfortable as were the pillows.

Perfect location for Helen Tubing & short 10min walk to the main shopping/restaurant area in downtown Helen. Nice convenient breakfast with friendly staff.

They ran out of extra pillows. If you intend to use the pull out bed for kids, request pillows in advance.

Breakfast was great.

Check in was about 3-4 hours late because they didn’t have enough house keepers. Rooms were way too expensive to cut off more time you have in your room. Plus they did nothing to make it up to us.

Disagree with other negative reviews. The location was perfect. It's not right in the middle of the town, but it's not too far...a 3-5 minute drive. You could walk if you just absolutely wanted to! The room was nice and CLEAN and the staff was great! Breakfast was great too! Would stay there again for sure.

We didn’t have breakfast. Room was spotless, new property was nice.

Clerk checking me in was not at her post. I wandered around until she appeared and acted as though I startled her. She couldn’t find my reservation, told me when using Booking.com, I should beware. Why do you use them if it’s a problematic service. She seemed curt and maybe she had a rough day, but I’ve had much better greetings.

Breakfast was good. Had a wonderful sweet cake one morning. Typical breakfast. Location of hotel excellent....right at edge of town yet sort of up on a hill so it didn't seem busy with people traffic.

Only two wash cloths and would like to have had two fresh ones for next morning.

Wonderful breakfast! Rooms and facilities were very clean, staff very nice!

The only downside was the sofa bed. The mattress was very flimsy, unable to sleep on it. It wasn't worth the price of the suite.
