Super 8 by Wyndham Nampa

The breakfast was minimal at best and with little/no other options. The booking through Super 8 did not go well. The assistant on the phone spoke very poor English. I called twice and after a minute or so of conversation, the calls were dropped. So I drove there, the front desk said the rate was $128 for one night 1 adult. When I Googled for motels in the area the advertised rate was $80. The desk said they wouldn't let me have a room at that price even after I showed him. O stepped out side and booked a room for $90. The question is, why would you turn down a potential customer on a weekday when there were multiple rooms available? I'm a senior and had the ability to use a smart phone, but there are many seniors who can't do that. That's not very smart business in my opinion. Pass off a future customer for a fixed faulty policy, that's bad business, unless your a millionaire and don't care. Sorry, don't think I'll be back ☹️

The staff was very accommodating when we arrived late in the evening and needed an extra blanket. Once we got into our room it was clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this to anybody and everybody! The hotel cost was less than many upscale rooms at other hotels but was better well kept!

Clean, comfortable, near Dennys for breakfast.

Bathroom lighting was dark. Rear entrance card reader did not work properly. At first, the receptionist just made me a new card. When I brought back the second one and told her I knew how to use it, she admitted that it "was acting up again". No elevator for a three story building. Motel is right on the interstate and an arterial, so a lot of car and truck noise, tho the rooms are mostly quiet. Not much lighting in the BR either.

I didn't do the breakfast. It was not my type of food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room itself and guests were quiet. GREAT TV set-up which I used and enjoyed, watching the Shawshank Redemption! Coffee in the room worked great for me at breakfast. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. I liked the bedside lamp lighting.

Entry to get in to the motel was bad. No direct entry from the street meant that I passed unable to turn in, then had to go under the freeway to turn around and come back. I had to enter through the gas station parking lot. Right next to freeway and busy road , quite a bit of road noise seeped in even with the windows closed. Food choices for breakfast had no appeal whatsoever - all prepackaged and the waffle mix I am sure contained corn, which I am allergic to. The cereals and packaged foods all had corn too, either corn syrup or baking powder, which has cornstarch in it. The floors were only accessible by stairs, which was OK for me but could be a real drag for seniors or people with disabilities.

Check in started a little slow, hard to find our reservation. However Jennifer did not give up, she kept working at it till she was successful. In this day and age of staffing shortages, I am sure she was fairly new. Kudos for sticking with it, calling people for help, and maintaining a positive attitude.

The biscuits were hard as rocks even the luke warm gravy wouldn't soften them

Ample parking although they claim to have truck parking we were a full size pickup with a 30 ft car trailer and we found it very difficult to find parking. The night clerk informed me that we could park at our own risk of being towed in the shell parking.

I liked the idea that there was convience stores right there. It was convenient for my needs.

The only thing was the noise from the freeway, but that was unavoidable.

The location was handy for coming off the interstate, needs more parking, do not like the stairs, and more space in the rooms also like a relaxing chair, The staff were helpful and knew their jobs.

I did not like the stairs. 4 steps is two many. They were narrow for people going up and down the stairs. Also, the rooms above us leaked down into our bathroom.

Breakfast was good. The quietness of the room was amazing. With the noise level outside I was very surprised, even over slept in the morning. Cleanliness of room and bathroom excellent. Great bed. Very nice people.

Parking was a challenge. Upgrade the carpet in the hallway.

The room was clean and nice. Location was good.

Breakfast was very disappointing One of us doesn't even like hard boiled eggs. Granola bar, fruit chewies did not satisfy our need for breakfast. Maybe it'd be nice if you could give your patrons a voucher for one of the restaurants near the motel. It would be beneficial for both you and the restaurant.
