Holiday Inn Express Chicago-Downers Grove, an IHG Hotel

I’m always skeptical when looking though online pictures. The front desk gentleman told me they are doing upgrades that haven’t been finished. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The room didn’t look at all the same as in pictures. The room was amazing. Very beautiful and comfortable. I really enjoyed the balcony. I don’t like to be cooped up. I took my chair outside and had my morning coffee.

We had a balcony which was really convenient for being a smoker so I didn’t have to go downstairs outside. Susan the new lady you guys hired was perfect for the job. She was excellent and just absolutely amazing. She helped me and never once blamed me. She fixed my total to match what I was quoted online and made sure all our needs were met.

Said they had hot breakfast and they didn’t. The bathroom is not enough room at all. The building and the rooms had a really bad smell and we stayed 3nights 4days the smell never went away. The lamp with the outlet on it didn’t work nor did the stand up lamp. All 3 mornings I had to wait 5 or more minutes for them to brew coffee in the breakfast room.

Every single member of staff was excellent, always cheerful; nothing was to much trouble for them,

The hotel itself is looking a bit tired and grubby in places but i understand that it is being updated. It's definitely needs usb ports in every room, this hopefully will be addressed during the refit and maybe also breakfast, although nice didn't really like eating off plastic plates

We booked in Holiday Inn but we were transferred to Sleep ins . We pre paid for the accomodation but when we arrived we were told the hotel was fully booked and transferred to another hotel . Holiday Inn Indianapolis was excellent we thought this time would be the same

The staff were exceptional!! Nancy was pleasant, friendly, and very professional all at the same time.... she is very good at her job!! The room was clean and comfy! The location is close to everything!!!! My new “go to” when I am in the area!!!

No Swimming pool

location was great and close to my event. The daily breakfast was good with enough choices. It was always hot and fresh.

My television didn't work properly. The remote was taped to prevent the back cover from falling off.

the cost was not the same with what I booked in booking.com. but I was refunded after I complained however I had a double charge (which is not returned yet). and the $50 holding fee has not been refunded as well.

The room was very clean and breakfast was very good

Location was great!! Beds were very comfortable. Room was very clean.

The room had a rather musty smell and the shower/tub in bathroom needed another handicap accessible bar for older people to hang onto while taking a shower.
