Comfort Suites St Louis - Sunset Hills

Hotel looked and smelled brand new. The smell was a bit unpleasant but better than smelling old and nasty. Conveniently located off 44 with lots of dining options around and only 25 minutes to get to downtown St. Louis. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was worried about parking behind the building (where most of the parking is) but it is EXTREMELY well lit. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and comfortable parking and walking to the door and throughout my stay.

My biggest complaint was the bed - uncomfortably hard in my opinion. But if they're new that could be why. Also the room is advertised as soundproof - which the walls were but lots of noise comes through the door and the amount of light you could see around the door at night might help explain why. Only really an issue in the morning but noticeable.

Location was great! Employees were so nice and helpful in anyway. I especially want to say TRENT was so phenomenal in my check in process and encountered him one more time before I left. I swear this has been the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I travel a lot! Hotel stayed smelling fresh and was clean.

The only suggestion I have is get something for guest to put in their vehicles so the people that go to the pub next door can get towed. Many of nights I had to park way in the back and I didn’t appreciate that because I paid my money and those pub customers were parking in the lot and walking to the pub. It rained every night so I’m running in the rain.

It was clean, breakfast was good, the decoration was really nice, my room was very spacious with a full couch, and I don't have any complaints. I don't know how this is only a 2 star hotel. Someone hit my car in the parking lot overnight, and because they had well working cameras, we were able to locate the guy and have his insurance cover it. Staff were very nice about the situation. It was also nice having so many food options and stores nearby. The area felt very safe. If you're staying here, I also highly recommend making the drive to grants farm because it's not too far and it's also fantastic!

Second time I stayed here this summer and it will be my "go to" St Louis hotel! Far enough out to relax and not worry about big city problems but close enough to be where I need to be rather quickly. Extremely clean and friendly staff don't change a thing!i

I really have no complaints I would suggest this hotel to anyone. The only thing is the busy restaurant/bar next door that some people might be uncomfortable with but as I said in my last review its actually a good fit for 98% of travelers as the restaurant and bar are separate and they have great food!

pleasantly surprised. I think this is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at, and the staff were helpful and polite. My room was large, the bed comfortable. The breakfast buffet had the usual sort of things, waffles, assortment of baked goods, yogurt, fruit, cereal. The scrambled eggs had peppers and onions and were perfectly cooked, and the home fries had rosemary! I didn't make it into the pool, but I'll definitely check it out next time I'm through

Very clean! Room was bigger then expected. Hotel is in a nice area to shop and dine. Staff was very friendly during checking in and out! Will stay here again.

New building. Lovely deco. Convenient location. Very clean. Comfy.

Noise from above was an issue. I did request a top floor room, due to my past experience as a single traveler. I also asked not to be directly below a family. Night1, got just the opposite. Spoke with staff, and night two was good. Lovely clean room and premises. Very nice staff. Why no recycle. Needed a cotton blanket.

king room was great, big bed and shower! Shower was awesome! the gym and pool were very clean for a hotel. breakfast had the normal plus potatoes and biscuits/gravy; pretty good for hotel breakfast! staff were absolutely awesome and you could just text for room service or checking out; it was the best customer service I’ve had from a hotel. area had pretty much everything, target, Walmart, shopping, and lots of food places. despite the loud noises of slamming or running, I still slept so good and could relax in the bed. to others it’s extremely firm, but I honestly loved it. it was firm with fluffy pillows and the comfortable in the closet was so soft!

if I had to say, it would be the constant slamming of doors or running, you could hear a lot even when we had two fans heated pool was kinda chilly, but so clean!

I liked the location a lot. It was right next door to a pub that has super good food! And their were shopping centers and fast food restaurants close near by as well. It wasn't super loud either and we were on the first floor and I didn't heard traffic or people coming and leaving rarely.

I wish the breakfast had a little bit more variety but there wasn't anything wrong with what they had to offer. And I do love they have a fountain pop machine in the lobby area.

I liked the room decor! So many light fixtures with USB cords, I liked the sliding closet door, the bathroom was really nice, I didn't know they're be sectional in there with ottomans so that was really nice to have, when we arrived the housekeeper greeted us as we headed to our room after I got dressed I went to her for advice on which shoes to wear and asked her to take pix of me she did it without hesitation very friendly idk her name bfast was bar was good so we're the receptionists!
