Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lake Zurich-Barrington, an IHG Hotel

It was very clean ,very nice until the elevator broke down and had no way except the stairs to get things back in the car !! Front desk did it offer much help ,no freight elevator ! My husband has COPD and struggled to go up and down the stairs ,we have a dog traveling with us so I stayed in the room so he would not bark and loudly !! The front desk let him on the elevator with a luggage cart ,but you can only get off when the button is pushed on the outside ,so I called again and the phone kept ringing so I ran down with the dog to get him off the elevator ,I walk past the front desk and two employees are standing chit chatting at the front desk !!!

The room was nice, beds comfortable & breakfast was adequate. The staff was accommodating & friendly.

Second & third shift staff was often MIA at the front. I could hear them in the back area of the front desk. Sometimes, they would come out, sometimes, not. Ventilation in the bathroom would be nice, especially when there are 2 or more people in a room.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There was a great selection to choose from. The food was warm and the juice cold. The area was clean and instead of having news on the TV, they had beautiful destinations.

The breakfast, even during Covid, was wonderful! The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the styling of the room was interesting and the furniture was comfortable. The sofa bed was premade with clean sheets, which saved me time and was just plain thoughtful.

The box spring under my mattress was cracked or broken causing the mattress to sag uncomfortably. Since I had 5 other people in my family and we were in town for a memorial service I didn't bother to tell the staff, and so we made due with it.

location was 1 mile from my family. Everything was comfortable and price was great.

I had asked for a room close to lobby or elevator as I am disabled. We had to rent a wheelchair because it was too far to walk

Breakfast was good, there was a nice variety of foods to choose from. It was kept well stocked. The staff was quick to take care of any spills and empty the trash before it overflowed.

The best part of the location is that it is directly across the highway from the lake and city park adjacent to the lake. There is a pedestrian crossing so you could walk or drive to the lake. There is a decent Mexican restaurant within walking distance.

It was a nice, clean place. The bed was comfortable. The beakfast is nice.

The elevator was out of service. The place was a bit outdated. It did not bother us though.

The breakfast was pretty good but the variety of food was limited. They did offer packaging for carryout. That was extremely handy for our group.

I had a problem with the wifi and the 2 computers in the lobby didn't work. One was shut down and the other had no internet access.

Spacious room, quiet. Good breakfast choices. Convenient for the event we were sttendung

Didn’t get promised room with roll in shower. Safe did not work Adjustable side chair not adjustable No instruction on how to close shade ( turned out to be via an innocuous square white panel on the wall next to the window.
