Holiday Inn Chicago Schaumburg, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was great. Location was good as close to highway, but not loud.

The second room for my friend was locked from the inside. I had to go down to the desk, go back up to show the desk staff, go back down to get another key. Just annoying. This should have been checked prior to assigning that room. The area around the pool was very slippery. Water everywhere from kids jumping in the pool. I almost fell three times just trying to get to a chair to put my stuff down. The have a sign up for wet surface, but should be one for death trap.

it had an on-site bar and restaurant which were very good and the location was good for O’Hare

Unfortunately the hotel information on the web and on Booking.com is not correct. We booked this hotel because it listed an airport shuttle service but it doesn’t have one which was the main reason we booked this hotel so that was very disappointing and frustrating. The nice young lady at reception took $10 off our bill but the pre-booked Uber to O’Hare was $48.50!

Fitness center, room

No microwave, kerrig didn't work in room initially, breakfast included didn't cover all my guests (didn't find out until after checked in and tried to feed my family breakfast - felt misled.... When I reserved room said breakfast included ...assumed meant for my whole group....I put in 1 adult and two kids and only two adults were covered). When I asked about clarification for the breakfast the staff was rude and said I should have called ahead...not their fault thati reserved online

I love everything about the place! we stayed here for the first time many years ago and now it’s the only place we stay! between just feeling welcome, the pool, and the outside fire pit. it’s my home away from home!

there wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

The management and staff at this hotel were amazing. They were so helpful and accommodating. I explained to them that I booked two rooms for was my sons bday and that I needed adjoining rooms. They placed us on the first floor conveniently near a side exit away from most of the other guests. I was happy to be able to allow the kids to play with our worrying about disturbing anyone. Would definitely recommend. Rooms are beautiful and the bed was very comfy.

The only negative is the shower head. The pressure was a little weak and the placement of the shower head is awkward.

cleanliness of the room, gym, pool

The first time I used the pool, there was no clean dry towel available at the pool. I ordered a valentine package. One of the balloons was already popped.

the worker we interacted with was so nice and helpful, he went above and beyond on making our stay enjoyable. I wish I would have gotten his name, but he was great! the room was clean, and looked newly renovated. It was also very close to lots of good restaurants and things to do! would stay again!

.The hotel services was wonderful. The hotel was clean and in a good location.

The only thing I didn't like was the key card didn't work a few times and needed light in Pool room. Need more hooks or towel bar in bathroom.

It was secluded and very clean the front desk staff was amazing.

The woman at breakfast was little rude regarding breakfast she never asked me if breakfast was included in my stay and she charges me for it but other than that everyone else was nice. They should just provide breakfast vouchers so no confusion takes place on both ends.

We needed to break up a road trip owing to bad weather. The Holiday was perfect and efficient, just off of Interstate 90. It turned out to be remarkably quiet. We slept very well and hit the road very early.
