Heartland Inn Coralville

The Heartland is an amazing place to stay if you are there for the U of I hospitals and clinics. The staff makes it easy for anybody who has to be at the hospital. The shuttle driver was amazing. He made sure that I made it to River Landing and came back to pick me up I could make my appointment at the U. I don't think that is a typical drop-off. My car did not start and after a series of issues with getting it dealt with, the hotel let me stay in the lobby til it was all taken care of. They were very generous and helpful. Oh, and Jethro's next door is a nice addition.

The hotel could use a facelift. It is starting to show its age.

Location is great -- near University of Iowa campus, running/cycling trails, and a short drive from downtown Iowa City. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Free parking.

The breakfast room was cramped and very backed up when it got busy in the morning. While it's nice to choose your own coffee drink, that kind of set-up is not efficient for lots of guests at breakfast. The machine makes just one cup at a time, and it takes a while. The line was very long. The poor woman attending to the breakfast area was really strapped -- she needed some help.

Location as we were there for iowa football

It’s a bit run down and need a ceiling fan in room. We DoorDash to pizza on Saturday night and I called the front desk two hours after our order should’ve come to ask if it was there, and the overnight clerk said she tried to contact me, but couldn’t find me in the system. Stephanie Cagle was on the pizza box and my reservation was under Steph Kagel. I think she could’ve gone the extra mile to find me and said I had to eat a two hour old pizza. .

For the price, it was as expected. Room was clean in the sleeping area and the bathroom was mostly clean. Breakfast was good and included with the stay.

The hotel is in need of some upgrades-no charging ports/hubs in the room, which isn’t a must, but is nice to have. Parking was difficult. Due to the location (there is a restaurant right in front), the only spot for us to park in was quite far away.

The location is great. My husband went to the hospital so the location made it easy to get there. The breakfast was good.

The only thing was in our room the shower rod looked like it was going to fall but didn’t and the shower curtain was torn.

Clean, welcoming and friendly staff, breakfast was very good! It was very busy the weekend we stayed but staff handled it well and continued to provide excellent service with smiles and a cheerful attitude! Maid service even made our beds between nights which we were not expecting!

Facilities were in decent condition, but could be updated .

They were very accommodating to our needs. The room was fantastic with a window that opened to a river view. The continental supper was a suprise too.

One room offered was found not cleaned since the last guest. They immediately came to us to make it right; not even asking us to return to the desk.

Breakfast was great with good variety of food and beverages. Location works great for us as it's close to where our daughter lives and near UI

There was really nothing we didn't like about Heartland. We plan on staying there each time we visit Coralville.

Breakfast was very good, nice selection of items. Compementary dinner was very nice. Housekeeping was good. Rooms were nice and clean. Rooms being supplied with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, was nice.

Noise was a minor issue.

Breakfast was great and the fact that the hostess was getting breakfast ready starting by 5:00 am and she stayed and made the waffles was unheard of. She was extremely accommodating and kept the area clean and neat. The front office was accommodating and housekeeping was gracious when we needed towels and blankets.

Only had one instance where we had to have the keys to the room reprogrammed.
