SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Coralville Iowa City

We came into town for a football game, so it was in a good location within walking distance to the stadium (about 30 minute walk). Also nearby eats within walking distance. Rooms were clean and beds and pillows were comfortable. Good value..

Bath towels were pretty thread bare and they didn't give you any extras. (Just 2 bath towels). Breakfast is included but you better get there early because it's slim pickings later in the breakfast time frame, and they don't refill. Gym is very weak. 3 pieces of cardio equipment and a rusty cable piece. It's fine if you are the only one in there, but it gets crowded with even two people.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Beyond accommodating. Matt and Matt were so great to work with. And the gentleman that had just moved there from Tennessee I think it was Jacob or Jesse? I can't remember his name but one of the most pleasant people I have ever experienced when it comes to a service industry. He is definitely a great find! Thank you so much for assisting us with our stay.

It's hard to say anything negative because it was such a fantastic stay. The room was just tight that is all. With two queen beds and the four of us it was difficult to maneuver. Other than that the accommodations were fantastic.

The property is easy to locate and very close to nice restaurants and the usual fast-food places. Also, the shopping mall is one exit away on interstate 80. The staff was super helpful, answering any questions I had. The breakfast offered hot scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, toaster items, fresh fruit, milk, juice, and fresh hot coffee. On the weekend, the breakfast is served later for your convenience. The fitness room offers a treadmill, bicycle, another cardio machine, weighted exercise balls, a limited weight machine, filtered water, and sterilized each day.

Our beds showed a slight dip in the center from use over time.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There were several baggage trollies to use. The breakfast had eggs, sausage & bacon as well as all the other things you’d expect. The room was squeaky clean.

The towels were a bit under par compared to the rest of the facility. They’re not fluffy and even a bit rough. Maybe it was the laundry service they use?

The grab and go items were a great option. The overall selection of items was great. There was something for the whole family.

The eggs were spongy and watery. The waffle/pancake batter was also very watery and spilled out of the irons when you turned them. And you could use some blinds in there, it was super bright.

Location to meetings. Room was quiet as our request was honored to be on the top floor away from the elevator. Breakfast was ok. Staff was friendly.

A change of menu for breakfast. 3 mornings of the same thing was a turn off. Our shower tub was pealing the coating. And the commode and shower space was not adequate. No place to put towels while showering.

Very convenient location, great breakfast, and excellent staff: the manager switched me to the first floor unprompted when I told her we had pets, and when we left the next day I forgot my laptop in the room. They promptly mailed it to me when I told them I couldn't return to pick it up.

Customer service was top notch. We had issues with booking.com not sending our reservation to the hotel and the front desk made sure we got a room at the same price. They were beyond helpful in every way. The location was great with regards to I-80. The room was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was seriously lacking. Enjoyed our stay, but for the price I have had far better at other best westerns. In fact my sister stayed at another property in MO of the same brand and there were protein options available. The breakfast was nothing but carbs, except cartons of plain yogurt. The waffles were definitely tasty, though.

The breakfast was very nice. It was very busy, and the woman keeping things filled and clean did an excellent job.

It was a little noisy. We could hear someone speaking very loudly in the meeting room and music with a heavy beat coming from somewhere in or near the hotel

This was my 3rd stay at this location. The place is very clean, staff is friendly, free breakfast is amazing, and I love the shuttle service.

This stay was great but I was a little bummed because my previous stays I loved the beds. This time both queen beds dished very badly. It was ok if you were in the bed by yourself, but my husband really likes me and wanted me to snuggle. 🥰 When I got in the bed we rolled into each other.😞 Also, there was a big, old, wet stain on the ceiling with peeling paint. 😬 I would still stay there again, just not in room 220!
