Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Lenexa - Overland Park Area, an IHG Hotel

Great location just down the road from a mall, restaurants, and a ton of stores. Entire hotel and room were extremely clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing super special but good enough. Bed was very comfortable.

It is kind of confusing to get to the first time and when coming in from the east. Notable lack of parking due to multiple hotels in the area.

Locations was great. Easy to find, decent area. Quik Trip within walking distance. Asked the front desk for an extra blanket. Took quite a long time, but did get one, daughter was happy.

The beds were very hard and not comfortable for us. Went to get breakfast an hour before the paper that was given at check-in said it was over. The lady running the breakfast station was closing up the breakfast area. She let us in, but there was very little to choose from. One of the reasons we had picked this hotels was for the breakfast. Was not asked if we had IHG rewards. (We do, just always forget about it)

First impressions go a long way with us. When we walked in, the lobby and ground floor were clean and modern. Front desk staff have been among some of the friendliest we've met in awhile. Our room was spacious and clean.

The only reason I didn't it give 10 points is because it seemed we kept running out of amenities in the room. We booked for 5 people and when we arrived there were no bed linens for the sofa bed. We only had 3 enough bathroom linens for 3 people. There was no housekeeping of the room at all during our stay. I realize COVID has changed how things are done, but in most other cases we've experienced, we've at least received a daily "touch up". For this reason, we ran out of toilet paper, shower gel, and soap. Not a huge deal, but it meant we had to keep running back to the front desk for things.

Everything was clean. The beds were so comfortable. The pool was clean and had ample fresh towels available. The breakfast has so many choices I had to try a little of everything. The "market" was convenient.

I loved everything...the only thing that might make it better is a hot tub.

Newer hotel. Clean and comfortable. Good lighting. Great hotel type breakfast. Very comfortable memory foam beds.

We had requested a king, but apparently not available at our late check-in, so we were given 2 queens.

Hotel location was very convenient for getting to/from the offices where I was doing businss. Very comfortable, attractive, modern hotel. The staff was very accommodating, for anything I needed.

I really did not find any deficiencies.

I loved how upgraded and renovated the hotel was. It was very clean and it showed that it was cleaned prior to coming. The space was great also for the price.

The only complaint I could give is the version of technology in the room. Many hotels are growing into having smart TVs that give you access to Netflix and even Bluetooth listening. If this hotel were to accommodate that, then they’d be a great hotspot for people looking for hotels in the KC Metro area!

Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful.

The doors to the rooms shut very loudly when people are entering or leaving their rooms.

Our flight was delayed/canceled. We called the hotel directly, to see if we could cancel the first night of our reservation, even though it was after the time/date when cancelation was allowed. The person working the front desk was very accommodating, delayed our check-in by a day, so that we avoided having to pay for 2 hotel rooms the first night. She went above and beyond what we were expecting. Thank you!
