Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Downtown

Great location. We were able to walk around downtown with our kids and had a water view. I forgot about downtown parking cost but for $20 it was convenient to have our car on property. Staff was very friendly and honestly their hospitality helped to make up for the cost of the room and parking. Honestly, the hotel is simply a downtown property and it cost more to stay downtown.

The breakfast could have been better but the staff was great! The breakfast crew was top notch with their hospitality. The little things make the big difference for me and I did not mind the caliber of meal they offered.

- Cleanliness - Furniture - Wonderful staff, especially the niceladies by the breakfast area. They greet the customers in a very nice way. We felt at home. - The only (not good thing) was: the only two cofee cups in our King Suite. -There was no body lotion, and no body lotion. When we called the reception asking for more cups he said you come because there was no one except him there.

Hotel in a good location to explore the city. Breakfast pretty standard for US hotels, buffet style, eat as much as you want. Car parking options, either at hotel $20 or across the street $12, so much cheaper than other city hotels we've stayed in on this trip, as some were asking $45 per night.

Nothing to complain about, a bit pricey but we made the choice to stay there, so can't complain.

Our stay was definitely at 10! The accommodations were very nice, beautiful view of the river. Clean, quiet (except for the 3:00am train passing through). Breakfast was good. Kayla, at the front desk was delightful! She was always pleasant, helpful, kind and considerate! She is such an asset to the hotel!

Location was great for a wedding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a reception at De LaRonde Hall. We were able to walk to and from the reception hall. We had a corner balcony room and it was spacious and comfortable. Close-up view was mostly buildings but looking down the street we had an ok view of the river. No complaints. The staff was wonderful. Toy was especially welcoming and helpful. Room layout was nice. It was helpful having the bar area with an additional mirror and sink. Made dressing for a wedding much easier. There was limited parking outside the hotel, but there was a private parking garage across the street and easily accessible for only $10/day.

Walk in shower door was a bit wonky. We had to lift up on it to get the bottom of the glass door over the threshold, which was hard to do because the handle fit over the outside edge of the door and was no longer held in place with adhesive so it slid up and down the side of the door. The bed base was a bit creaky. The A/C leaked onto the balcony.

The location is great. It’s within walking distance of great food. It was clean and the complimentary breakfast was amazing!! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming from the front desk to the ladies in the breakfast area.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

The staff didn’t want to take the time to give us a detailed receipt so I had no idea how much parking cost or how much we paid for food in the vending room.

I had booked a room at another hotel that turned out to be an absolute nightmare. Exhausted from a long day and drive, soaking wet from the rain, and on the verge of tears I left there and booked a room here last minute. Immediately upon walking in I felt so much more comfortable. Lobby and facilities were very nice and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were crisp and clean, quiet, and smelled nice. Beds and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was great. I have zero complaints, worth every penny.

The breakfast was very good! Lots of choices! And the Lady who was overseeing it was on top of everything and very courtious!

Though i would not have used them other members of family would have liked a pool or hot tub, however i understand there is no space for them!
