La Quinta by Wyndham Baton Rouge Denham Springs

The spa was lovely and clean room . Kind of smell like dog had been there prior. They need to clean all carpet. People do lie about having dogs. But thanks to the black lady that helped out and sprayed the room and she had it very nice neat and comfy for me

The weekend breakfast was not good. Me and my husband threw up all breakfast Saturday morning. Didn't eat Sunday due to Saturday only had coffee. My husband was very upset. The Mexican lady act as if she didn't wanna be there to even fix the food. Poor service she did. On Sunday the black lady came in trying to fix what the Mexican lady messed up... I had better service in Dallas, Tx..

I liked that the AC worked. I liked the accessibility to back roads to avoid highway traffic. Good location. 24 hour coffee! Also next to a gas station. No worries about vehicle getting broken into. All the staff were very nice. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable.

The walls seemed a little thin or maybe the people on the floor above me were exceptionally loud. I heard their TV til 3am on my first night there. The rest of the time all was ok. I also believe I got a handicapped room because I used Boooking.com. The weekend before when I was in Dallas, I was also put in a handicapped room.

It is an amazing hotel with clean room and bathroom etc. The room was spacious and bathroom was bigger and also it was a good deal to book this room. The staff is friendly and it is just 2-3 miles from downtown on the main road so I felt secure as well. It has plenty of parking as well. I stayed just one night for my next day Cruise from New Orleans.

They have removed breads from the breakfast and just have the Bagels and Donuts which I feel is not for me at least. I wish if they can introduce some more good menu in the B'fast.

I stayed for a week for work. It was really clean and comfortable. Not a five star hotel but not dirty, sheets felt and smelled clean, bathrooms were really clean. It seems to have been renovated in the past few years. The location is nice because it’s outside of the busy city, hustle and bustle of Baton Rouge but still right there. Everything you need is off that exit or the one before it so you don’t have to go farther than 5 minutes for anything. The hotel as a whole just had a little bit of a mildew/wet smell. Now mind you it has been raining in Louisiana for weeks now, so that may have been a factor but I also read in reviews on hotels in the area that a lot of places flooded pretty recently so idk. I bought a glade plug in and some damp rid from Lowe’s and it was fine for the time I had to stay there. Pool is closed, which they don’t say on the website or when you book. Breakfast is prepackaged muffins and freezer sausage biscuits or grits you make yourself from the packet. If I would have known either of these things I would probably have booked somewhere else considering the price point. “Covid” Two things I requested while staying there: I work mid shifts from 3pm-3am so I sleep a little later than most. That being said I was asleep when housekeeping would pass on my floor. I politely asked to have housekeeping come by while I was at work around my fourth day there and they wouldn’t service my room. I would understand if I was asking to have it done after normal business hours or in the middle of the night but 2pm? They said I had my do not disturb sign out, which I definitely didn’t. I didn’t want them coming in anyway because I was asleep but the fact that they lied about the sign just kind of put a bad taste in my mouth. They treated me like I was complaining or accusing them of not doing their job.

The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. The cleaning staff were very nice. Very clean and comfortable.

Definitely need to provide more items for breakfast and make sure hot coffee is available. This was my second stay at a La Quinta within the past month in 2 different cities and breakfast has not been good at all. This leads to believe that this is a corporate issue and not the fault of hotel staff.

Considering pets are allowed, it could have smelled a lot better or there needs to be a company that comes to deep clean the Carpets. Our room had a light smell of Urine. Aside from that, everything was good!

ROOMS WERE QUIET, AS WELL AS OTHER GUESTS. BED WAS COMFY, BATHROOM WAS CLEAN. STAFF WAS NICE AND POLITE AS WELL.

THERE WAS HARDLY ANYTHING LEFT ON THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IN THE MORNINGS. ENDED UP HAVING TO GO OUT TO EAT OR GRAB STUFF FROM THE GAS STATION NEXT DOOR. NOT SURE IF THE HOTEL WAS FULLY BOOKED OR NOT, BUT ALL THAT WAS LEFT THE DAY W DID EAT AT THE HOTEL WAS JUICE, COFFEE, APPLES, MINI SAUSAGE BISCUITS, OATMEAL, DRY CEREAL; NO MILK, AND SOME MUFFINS. ALL THE MEAT AND EGGS AND MILK CARTONS WERE GONE. PUT OUT MORE FOOD AT DIFFERENT TIMES FOR BREAKFAST, NOT JUST ALL AT ONCE AND HAVE NOTHING LEFT FOR THE LATE WAKERS. ALSO HAVE THE POOL OPEN TO GUESTS. KIDS WERE DISAPPOINTED THE POOL WAS NOT OPEN FOR THEM TO SWIM IN.

Everything was clean. Room was really nice and clean . It was just very noisy in the morning.

My Room was really noisy in the morning when everyone started getting up and leaving. We had our Rottweilers with us and they didn’t bark at all. The night lady told us to clean up after them and then when we walk outside to take them out and we stepped in someone else’s dogs poop it was extremely nasty

Me and my husband needed a small getaway to chill. I read the reviews which were pretty good for that price. We were not disappointed !! It was clean and the room and bed extremely comfortable. I would definitely sleep here again!

The only downfall of our stay was the fire alarm went off at 11pm. The plus is I know there would never be a chance I would sleep through that if there had been a fire!

The friendly staff and location. The lobby is beautiful.

This is a great property, but it time for some maintenance (replacement of tattered furniture cracked glass in picture frames, and carpet cleaning). There's dust on the electrical sockets. The beds are too high. Making it difficult to get in. I would stay again, but it is my hope these concerns will be addressed.
