Golden Nugget Lake Charles

Lots of eating options, staff friendly, great entertainment at Rush, Spa was awesome. All restaurants had great food.

Room wasn’t that clean. Overall looked clean but carpet had hairpins and safety pins on it along bases of the bed. Had to call at 5pm because our room hadn’t been cleaned. Starbucks staff was friendly but had no sugar substitutes or coffee stirrers out. That afternoon went back and still no stirrers or sugar substitutes out. Next morning went for coffee was told that it would take 25 minutes cause one of the pots was broken. Stirrers we’re finally there but no sugar or substitutes out. Really guys need to have these available before you open .

The pool was excellent. Water was cool and the lazy river was a great touch! The pool bar was fun as well. The rooms were comfortable and the restaurants were very convenient. And you served Blue Bell ice cream at the ice cream shop. That was a nice touch. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Elevators always seemed a bit dirty and smelly. Smoking in the casino was disappointing. The beach was not in great shape. Would love to see the hotel step up its game of making a really attractive beach environment. So much of the felt lining was sticking out of the sand. Trying to get the front desk to answer after 11pm was like pulling teeth. But when they did answer, they were accommodating. Would love to receive a room comp offer someday. Never seem to get one of those even though I did spend $3000 in 2 days.

there was no luggage rack in my room there was an issue with the ID scanning machine to gain entry to the casino floor. There was only one machine and staff were extremely unhelpful and unpleasant. We ended up walking to the neighbouring Auberge where the scanner had no problems reading our documents and the casino floor staff were very welcoming.

The bed was good, the view was amazing, the pool was very nice and enjoyable for my 5 yr old and wife, and my wife said the facial at the spa was amazing and the people who did it were very helpful. Staff did an excellent job greeting us and informing us on things as well.

Everything was wonderful, we plan to make another trip back for more time and kid less so we can spend time in the casino and really relax at the pool area. Overall a good short get away from the stress of the world.

Pool was great. Really enjoyed our time there. Room was nice, comfortable, and clean. The staff was great and so nice to us. Especially the waitresses at the H2O Bar.

The beds are not that comfortable, but other than that the rooms are great. The ice machine on our floor did not work and we were unable to get ice during our stay. We did encounter a problem at Salt Grass. We ordered online and went to pick it up and it was not ready at the designated time. Which is not a big deal, but we did have to wait there for 45 minutes to receive our food our steaks were cold and over cooked. This is the first bad experience we’ve ever had at a problem at this restaurant. Everything else about our stay was great.

I liked the majority of the whole place, it had good shopping, plenty of restaurants which is great. The place was clean which is most important to me. The staff was actually friendly, not just the people working at the bars and restaurants but the cleaning crew also. The best part was the food, even though I didn't eat in a restaurant (just ordered drinks) we ordered room service. I don't know if that food was cooked by hotel staff or one of the restaurants, but it was awesome. They even had A1 to go with my steak, never had that with room service. The shrimp was awesome, the potatoes were flavorful. My absolute favorite were the buffalo wings! That's how buffalo wings should be cooked. Dominoes used to make there's like that then got lazy and starting just drizzling buffalo sauce over air fried wings. I know I'm rambling on but I'm a foodie and yall's was spot on. The place was great we'll be back.

I would add a couple of exit signs on how to get to which highway/interstate when leaving, for people like me. I got to the traffic circle and wasn't sure which way to go.

Service was Awesome! Waitress in all Restaurants and casino floor were attentive and professional. Room was very nice facing the pool and I hope to be back soon when it is warmer to use the pool. Check in was fast and pleasant.

It does get busy fast on the weekend so reservations are a must….the one time we didn’t get to eat was leaving Saturday morning and hearing there was a 2 hr wait for breakfast but it was extremely busy. The only other thing is the casino floor and smoke from the majority of players there…..it does smell and it will inbred in your clothes so be prepared for that….

Easy to get around resort, lots of table games, friendly dealers. Rooms and bathrooms are a good size. Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse was superb.

Probably due to COVID and known staffing issues, but long lines for everything, high prices for food & beverages, not all wait stuff in various restaurants were good or even friendly and ATM fees were ridiculous. But, again, supply issues and inflation are a factor here and all resorts charge more, but this was even higher than Vegas. I guess it's GN or L'Aueberge in Lake Charles, so they can do as they please. At $400 a night, a mini-fridge should be in the room. Surprised not to find one.

The rooms are beautiful. The view we have is beautiful.

I wish y’all didn’t take away the bus that transported people from Golden Nugget to the other casino. People are walking back and forth from each casino with lots of money on them. It’s dark and eventually someone is going to get mugged. Lots of Texans carry guns and if someone attempts to rob the wrong person, someone will get hurt.

I love the hotel/casino. They have a beautiful pool/cabana area. The hotel is super clean and with very professional staff.

I was a little sadden that my over all price was slightly higher then expected/ stated on my booking.com reservation. I didn't question it because I wanted this to be a great experience for my siblings.
