Super 8 by Wyndham Lake Charles/Sulphur

This was a last minute stay due to a personal matter that arose. The room was very clean. All staff I saw, front desk, maid service in hallway and others, were very friendly and welcoming. I’m returning to the area for a planned visit in a month and decided to switch my reservation to stay here again instead as a clean, safe place to stay is all I need.

The facility was extremely clean and comfortable. It was close to everything and the staff was friendly and professional.

A negative turned positive. The dryer was not heating up as well so my clothes were still damp after 2 cycles. However, upon mentioning it to the staff, they offered to dry my clothes in their commercial dryer. The staff and managers are to be commended for going above and beyond.

The receptionist at the desk was very helpful and courteous.

The website advertised free Continental Breakfast, and the hotel has a sign posted 6 am to 9 am free breakfast as well, My wife and I went to eat at 8 am but there was no breakfast, I as the receptionist she said they don't have that. I pointed to the sign but she still said the same thing, Very disappointed for the fales advertising.

The rooms were large. The bedsheets, towels and bathroom were clean and speckless. No bad smell in the room. The breakfast was minimalistic with only packed muffins and waffles. Coffee and juice was good. Had a comfortable stay.

I didn't like that it is no elevators ! I have limited mobility and it was hard getting up and down those stairs. I was told that the type of room I requested which was a King size suite was only on the 2nd Floor

Everything! It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I liked that they had a large covered patio with benches to enjoy your morning coffee and/or cigarette. The room was very spacious.

No breakfast (especially hot) only coffee.

The Plumbing Water At This Location Was Extremely Refreshing. (Possible Water Softener???...)

Would not price match lower price paid a few days earlier at franchise location a few miles away.

the atmosphere here is very light. very calm.. super laid back. the inside is newly remodeled and it’s honestly coming along perfectly. it looked nice before, but the new look is amazing. great and friendly staff. this is my favorite place to go when I come to lake Charles to visit family.

The breakfast was not acceptable. There were only two items to eat. Need more items on breakfast.

Very clean and new. Although the basics were there, need to add a box of tissues.
