Homewood Suites by Hilton New Orleans

Pros: The staff was absolutely wonderful. Desk staff was friendly. The woman and the young man attending the breakfast offerings were not only good at their jobs, they were also VERY nice, personable. The engineer who came up to fix our toilet was friendly and apologetic. Doormen were helpful and friendly. Location is quiet, safe; it's easy to walk to various attractions. Entire hotel is very clean. Breakfast was excellent. They even had decaf coffee. Elevator is quick.

When we checked into our room after a long day of walking, our toilet wouldn't flush. We were exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. When the front desk texted us to ask if our room was ok I replied about the toilet problem but asked them to wait until morning to fix it. The next morning I reported it to the front desk. I know that the info was passed on to engineering, but no none had time to fix it until around 6 or so that evening. The engineer was apologetic and friendly. So, all's well that ends well. Our only other complaint is that we weren't notified of happy hour. Not a deal breaker.

Everything was amazing! The staff was super friendly and the hotel was super clean. We got to the hotel early since we had a morning flight so they held our luggage behind the desk and got us in a room by 1 PM. We had a two room suite and it was perfect for our family of five. The room temperature was nice and cold and we always had hot water for our showers. The breakfast was great and they changed up the options daily. Ice cold water in the lobby and a shuffleboard table that my boys really enjoyed. The location was great. We were about a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter. The area seemed safe and the valet staff was always outside which gave me a more sense of security. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much!

There was really nothing I didn’t like. Only (kind of) issue was one of the elevators went down on the forth day so it took a little longer to go down for breakfast. It really wasn’t a big deal to us but could have been for someone in a hurry. But we were in the Big Easy, so we weren’t in any hurry.

The location was excellent, close to a lot of places. The room was spacious and the amenities are good as well. The staff are very friendly.

Parking was a challenge. There is nearby garage parking but because of covid, it closes early at 7pm. We had to park before the time and spent the evening walking around to look for a restaurant for dinner. It did allow us to explore the area more intimately but with 3 hungry kids in tow including a toddler, it was daunting. A few fine dining places around the block but more suited to adults and couples. We did find a hidden gem of a pizza place called the Italian Pie a couple of blocks away and it was awesome! There was free parking along the side of the hotel itself but you have to be lucky to get a space especially on a weekend. We got the hang of the parking situation after the first night so it didn't really dampen our stay.

One of the best breakfasts offered by this hotel. The staff here was on point by constantly restocking and clearing of used dishes and utensils. The valet staff was excellent! They were expeditious in service and offed good advice on things to do and places to go. The desk clerks were ver polite and professional.

Though I booked a double room suite somehow I forgot that one room did not hv 2 beds but each had 1 king bed. The staff did explain that was all they had so it was fine.

Breakfast was pick up and always gone by 830. I recieved an upgrade but my plans had changed and I requested the original room. The room was available but I was told the upgrade was at no charge. When I checked out the upgrade charge was on the bill. I explained the situation to the manager and gave her the names of the front desk personnel who had told me there would be no additional charge. She said she would speak to them and if they said they had told me that she would refund the 300.00 for the upgrade. That still hasn't happened and I called and spoke to management again and was told they would call me. That hasn't happened. The charge is still on the bill.

Everything was great and I will definitely be staying here as after as I visit NOLA and other cities. FYi I'm a member and I hope I can get my points. Great breakfast andI know when the renovations are completed its going to be rated in the top three hotel for me and my family to stay at. I'm telling all of my friends about this hotel.

Construction going on and sometimes we heard the noise. One other thing was I only requested clean towels and the trash taken out daily no other cleaning needed. The first day was ok but after that I called for towels and trash to be taken out once we came in at night a delay the maintenance man bought us some towels and batteries for the remote but did not take out the trash. The next time I was told that they had no staff until 0800 and I could come down and get some if I needed them . The receptionist was very nice and apologized but I think this should have been handled differently. We were in room 414 . My over all stay as I said earlier was great the room was absolutely beautiful. Hats off to all of you and may God continue blessing all of you.

Hotel room was very nice. We had a suite because we were travelling with teenagers and they needed their own beds. The room was comfortable and well kept. There was one wet spot on the floor and we werent sure if it was condensation from the AC or what, but the room didn't smell musty, so we were good with it. It was easy to find and the valets parking our car were very friendly and helpful.

The woman at the front desk seemed rushed or overly taxed which made her seem short. She didn't say hello, just 'can I have your reservation." Then asked for my ID and said you're all set. No thank you, have a nice day...not even a smile.

Breakfast was decent every morning. Good location off Poydras St. Didn't use kitchenette but was nice to have fridge for cold drinks.

Front desk staff could have been a little friendlier. Didn't use valet service, did self park across the street for $20/day instead of paying $45/day. Use the spothero app to find and book parking with in/out privileges. AC in room was really loud beside the sofa bed.

Great location - midway between WW2 museum and French quarter. Spacious room. Full kitchen. Sink separate from room with toilet/shower. Two TVs. Hot food choices at breakfast. Spacious lounge areas on floors. Nice laundry facilities.

Parking is extra and in a public parking garage across the street from the hotel. No ice machines, but free bags of ice in the hotel store. Pool only open until 8pm.

To go breakfast bag was offered only on our first morning.

One of the ladies working at the front desk had a bad attitude and was on her phone every time we saw her. When we asked for coffee creamer she seemed really irritated that we interrupted her phone conversation and said “whatever is there is all we got”
