Hampton Inn Downtown / French Quarter Area

The location was great. Walking distance to bourbon street & the casino. The property was clean and the staff was nice.

Parking and the additional incidental fee added per night. This is was not discussed until we checked in. And when I questioned it the young lady asked did I want to cancel the reservation vs explaining.

Location, valets, and cleanliness. In general, I like staying at Hampton Inns. Wish they were pet friendly. I travel with my dog at times.

The hidden fees for parking $150 deposit!! That's not a good business practice. People should know this ahead of time. The front desk said it's in the fine print. No, it's not, I read the fine print.

The staff was busy when we were checking in, you could tell and who isn't now a days. Even so they had control of the situation and were managing luggage, guest and phone. When our turn came they gave us the courteous respect, information and support that we needed. Thank you.

Nothing, we had an idea of were we where staying. Pleased with the stay.

The hotel inside and bedroom were clean, breakfast was just ok, I like that breakfast was on the 4th next to my room n they offered coffee all night. The room price wasn't too bad The beds were comfortable n the room is spacious. It is close to restaurants, shopping stores n canal street n, etc.

Had to walk to the hotel because of the parking garage outside of the building and no security to make sure you are safe. Also, people hang out in front of the hotel during the day/night. Valet Parking is 43$ a night plus tax and a Self-parking overnight stay is 25$ but if you choose to leave several times you will be charged each time on top of the 25$. The bathroom is not that big. On the 4th floor on the breakfast side of the hotel, the city view is terrible. The only view I had was the AC units.

I really like the location. It's close to getting around to everything. The trolley pickups for St Charles is great. Staff at front desk (Ashley) was great who checked us in. Very friendly and the valet team was great. The dining was fun and was pretty cool. Staff overall was really good and went above and beyond if asked questions.

Overall, the room was really nice. The carpet was dated, but the room was nice and clean. We would stay there again if we came back.

Hot breakfast different every day with a nice variety, easily accessible on 4 th floor, y the room was a nice size , nice tv and bed was comfortable, hotel was within 20 minutes walking distance from most all the sites , restaurants are near by and we’re great, the people were very accommodating as well

The hotel was very clean. Check in was fast and easy. They even had my name on the tv screen when I walked in the room :) The staff were all professional and helpful. Location is a few blocks from bourbon street. There is a little corner store right outside that sells beer/liquor and some pretty good fried chicken lol. As a woman I felt safe walking to and from after dark.

I don't have any cons about this hotel.

Breakfast buffet was excellent with different hot main dishes - egg, potato, and meat- daily. Waffle station and cereals, toast, bagels.

Housekeeping is every 4 days unless you request service. We requested fresh towels and they dropped off a bundle just inside the door but did not take the soiled towels.

excellent staff, I must highlight the breakfast staff (3), always happy singing in the morning, attentive to what was missing. The breakfast was very complete to start the day, the room was great and very comfortable, the hotel is super central. They let us check in early and check out 2 hours later for free. You can not ask for more. very happy !!!!

The lobby when you enter does not smell good, but the rest of the hotel does smell good

We liked breakfast and the location. The room size was great! We were within walking distance to everything. There were great restaurants near.

We asked for towels and never received them from the front desk. They did come in the morning, the day after I requested. The staff at breakfast were not friendly. One was making her a plate and eating while on duty. Things were not available and had to ask early. They were just hanging out.
