SpringHill Suites by Marriott St. Joseph Benton Harbor

The hotel's team was outstanding and clearly well trained. Everyone I interacted with was personable, professional and knew what they were doing. I'd cheerfully stay there again if I'm anywhere near that area. The breakfast presentation was clean, quality of the food was as good as one expects from a limited service hotel's complimentary breakfast and the attendant was spot on with everything from refresh to cleanup.

The hallways were quite cold as was my room until I got the thermostat adjusted up about 5 degrees from where it was set. There was a cove tile missing in the bathroom but other than these nitpicks, it's quite a good hotel. There was an automatic incidental charge added to my bill that I wasn't made aware of but, again, that's nitpicky once it comes off.

Our family loves to visit St. Joseph's, but, the accommodations are limited in the town proper. Benton Harbor is a quick 3-4 mile drive to St. Joe's. The room was large enough for our family of 5 which is often difficult to find. I thought the facility was brand new because it looked updated and really well maintained, but, learned it was 7 years old. Everything smelled fresh and clean, the staff was friendly and approachable, the free breakfast had a lot of variety and changed daily. My husband and I enjoyed the fire pit in the evening as well.

We had an issue with our reservation that was booked via booking.com and I was charged incorrectly. I tried to manage calling the hotel and they asked me to talk with booking.com. Booking.com asked me to call back the hotel to solve the issue. In the end I had to open a dispute with the credit card company

Very comfortable king bed for sleeping the two of us. The whole room had a nice modern decor. The room was big with a nice sized seating area and work table . Comfortable couch and ottoman with a large tray to double as a coffee table. Good flexible lighting options and plenty of usb plugs for charging our devices. Lots of table spaces and counters to set our things on. The tv could be viewed from the couch or the bed. Large bathroom and shower. Good quality toiletries provided. Plenty of plush towels and linens too. The whole hotel had a clean and modern decor with lots of cozy seating throughout. We enjoyed the selections for breakfast and the coffee as well. Plenty of options. The patio was comfortable for relaxing in the morning or evening with a beverage in hand . We did not use the pool or the gym but both looked very inviting.

The shower doors sounded and looked to be sealed closed but water managed to leak out all over the floors and we had to use one of the larger towels to clean it up.

Convenient location just off of the interstate. Very clean room, bathroom, lobby and grounds. The check in was easy, quick and we were given all of the information needed for our stay. The front desk could not have been more welcoming. She wasn’t harried, put out or robotic. She added her personal touch which immediately put me at ease. The breakfast - coffee station was extremely clean and well tended. The server was energetic and kept everything well stocked with a smile. It is difficult to keep guests happy while refilling coffee and….but she was marvelous. Unfortunately I do not know their names and trust Marriott will forward this review to them. Words of praise mean so much for so many who are deserving and work so hard.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past it is close to beach we like to go to in St Joseph. The hotel is pretty new so it still looks really nice. The staff was nice. The breakfast was nice for a hotel breakfast.

When we got there we all wanted to take showers from being at the beach all day. We were only given 2 towels even though we had 4 people in our room we had to fo back down and get more towels. Our shower in our room got water all over the bathroom floor and there was not handle on the inside of the bathroom door making it hard to close.

Comfortable. Microwave and refrigerator. Desk top for food display and area above fridge for food storage. Nice couch.

No towels upon arrival. No room cleaning. Not reminded you have to request a cleaning upon check in.

I loved the modernness and space of the room.

Breakfast was some variation of eggs, sausage (links or patties) and bacon (1 time in the 7 days we stayed there)

Clean there was a nice vending area for after later hours snacking. Sleek and fresh look. Liked the fact that it had a working hairdryer and a iron and iron board.

I didn’t like the lack of parking. It also was supposed to be a king bedroom but it most definitely was not. The price was outrageous for the room. No tub just a shower that had a leaky door. So you had to use a towel by the door so the floor wasn’t soaked.

Very clean hotel!! Outside area with fire pit is very nice. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was great every morning!! We will return!!!!

The pool could have been cleaner. It's not big enough to accommodate size of hotel. The snacks and drinks were over priced. The over charge is pricey and didn't know about it until check in.
