only had breakfast the day we were to check out... was surprised at the amount of items to choose from... was expecting the usual continental items... the abundance of choices of bagels, cereals, biscuit items was great! I didn't try any but many of the other guests were enjoying them. appreciated the way the hostess had everything set up; it was easy to get to the food choices and she was very friendly and professional. she seemed to really enjoy her job; her attitude towards the guests showed she was there to make sure you enjoyed the fare and her smile was genuine.

breakfast hours could stand to be longer; many guests like to sleep in late especially on weekends.

Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Large bathroom and shower. Decent workout room. Breakfast acceptable for the price, but could be better...biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon and such would be more appropriate for the room rate.

No microwave or coffee in the bedroom. TV remote worked poorly. There's something about no carpeting and no pictures on the walls...doesn't feel as welcoming, or "like home" as a hotel should. Although, the no carpeting has it's positive qualities...you know if the floor is clean or not in these rooms. What's with all the hooks on the walls? Weird. Need a closet in the room...lose the clunky looking hooks adorning the walls.

We were able to book a room at this hotel last minute when my daughter and I were in Detroit for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we needed to needed an early check-in in order to get ready for the concert. The room was available 4 hours early. We were incredibly grateful. The room was very clean and comfortable. If we are ever in the Detroit area again, we will definitely consider staying at this hotel.

Nothing! Everything was wonderful!

Highly professional staff, extremely clean facility. My husband and I went out to grab a bite to eat, when we came back all of staff was cleaning the floors and counters, deep cleaning everything! Room exceeded our expectations. Staff deserves a raise for the hard work that they do! I would definitely recommend family and friends to stay at Avid. I would definitely stay again once I come back into town from traveling for work.

This hotel was very clean and new looking. Breakfast was ok. The staff was very friendly. The shower was roomy.

For being new, the shower head was too low for my 6' 2" height. The water pressure was extremely low and went down to almost a trickle when someone else in another room was flushing or running their shower at the same time. The temperature of the water was not hot enough without turning it to completely hot.

I enjoyed the hotel vibe, it was a great experience for the overnight stay. The hotel was clean and smell great so much so it felt like I was home. The staff were very friendly! The room was better than what I expected, I would definitely book again! Plus the location was less than 30 minutes from where I needed to go and there is a Kroger and shopping stores in the area too.

The Staff was Extremely Professional and EVERYONE we encountered had a pleasant personality! Loved the 24/7 coffee/tea station in the lobby! The room was immaculate with a very appealing design from the shades to the room decor. The bed itself was extremely comfortable and the pillows had a variety (labeled firm and soft) for your liking. Definitely will look for this hotel chain first in my future vacations/trips!

Didn’t really care for the pre-prepared sandwiches. A hot breakfast would’ve been great!

The room and bathroom sizes were bigger than we thought. All very clean.

The $100 incidental fee. I had no idea about this charge cause I booked the room on booking.com. I did not budget for this fee and was very annoyed to learn about it the day of checking. I'd made the reservations almost 3 months prior.

Staff are courteous, professional and more than willing to meet our every requests. The facilities were spotless, breakfast was perfect to start our day, and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in years.

Absolutely nothing. They met our evry need.

Enough room to 'park' two open cases on benches in the room. Shampoo and bodywash clearly marked in the shower. No excess cushions on the bed to get rid of. Sockets easily accessible from the bedside table and enough room around them to take an international adaptor. Everything just worked like it should

Breakfast was average. Would it kill them to have a few croissants
