Holiday Inn Express Detroit-Warren/General Motors Technology Center, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was great it had a lot of options for being a holiday Inn express and it was kept stocked and hot. The night manager/desk employee was exceptional and he honestly made the crappy parts of the hotel not so bad.

We were told that if we wanted housekeeping if staying more than 1 day we had to request it 24h in advance. That is not indicated on their site and if that was the case I would have to request before even arriving. There were only 2 sets of towels for 4 guests and it took hours when I requested more towels. The 2nd day when I had called about housekeeping when they took the dirty towels they did not leave new and when we came back for the day and I called for towels it again took hours. Quiet hours were not adhered and there were people tailgating in the parking lot. My bed bad batteries in it (weird I know) so I know the sheets were not changed in between guests.

The size of the room, the cleanliness of the room a bright open spaces and the kindness of the people at the front desk.

The breakfast could have been better, more option for people don't eat pork and the turkey sausage could have been cooked better with maybe some potatoes or something added it was a little bland. The air in our room cause consistent coughing through the night so we were unable to use that air. Also someone continuously left bleach in the washing machine after they were done using it so maybe I'll check to see if the washing machine was okay randomly so no one clothes will get ruined.

Nice staff! Happy guests the next morning over breakfast.

The bathtub could've been clean.

For being an included breakfast, we all thought it was very good and the attendant did a good job of keeping food& beverages available.

The water pressure was on the really low side and there should have been more towels. There were no hand towels, only two bath size towels furnished - and they were not replaced when the room was cleaned and serviced after the first night’s stay. During the middle of the night there was a lot of noise in the hallway.

We liked being able to get off of the highway and right to the hotel. It had a big spacious parking lot that had a lot of spots open for us to utilize. It was an easy location for an Uber or Lyft driver to pick us up and drop us off.

There was not much that we didn't like about our stay. You could hear other people walking in and out of their rooms throughout the night, but that is to be expected when you are in a hotel room.

It was in a convenient location with multiple vendors all around. Late night food is an option, local family restaurants as well as nightly entertainment. Staff was very complimentary and was not pushy when it came to checkout. (12:00p.m.) following morning. Some locations can get a bit extreme with check out.

No complaints other then my wife went to go lay.on the other bed after shower, pulled the sheets back and in the all white linens a grease like mark or some would call it a old skid mark.....eww. kinda gross. I personally think it was some kind of grease marking from one of the machines

The staff were very friendly, the rooms nicely designed and quiet, the breakfast about what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. I appreciated being close to the city, where the event we were traveling for was held, while not paying city prices.

It's just off the highway, so jump on and off there--otherwise, you're driving through some rough areas. But I'd stay there again without hesitation.

I'm not one to write reviews, so when I do, you can take it to the bank! The property was modern and clean. ALL the staff were so friendly. The fellow who checked me in (his name began with an "S", I believe) was such a nice guy. It might have been a maintenance staff, maybe housekeeping (?) made sure to greet me and welcome me, and directed me to the nearest ice machine. The room was clean and nice with a Keurig coffee maker, fridge, and microwave (the fridge was clean too---have been in hotels where it was a mess). The breakfast was terrific with a large selection of foods!! On check out, the guys at the desk were very nice too. I was impressed with the hotel and my stay.

This is total minutia, and hardly worth mentioning, but there wasn't a remote for the TV in the room, and I had to get one from the front desk. The remote he gave me worked just fine. I tried signing into the wifi--it asked for my last name and room number, but I couldn't connect. I'm sure if I brought it up to the staff, it could've been corrected, but I didn't really need to access the wifi, so didn't pursue it.

The hotel was clean & comfortable and the people working there were SO kind! We checked in on Christmas Eve and the guy at the front desk was polite & inviting. On Christmas morning we slept in a bit. I thought that breakfast was from 6 to 10 but actually ended at 9. When my husband went to check it out, breakfast was over. The guy that ran the buffet told him to just hang on. He went and got my husband a plate full of scrambled eggs & sausage patties, 2 pieces of toast, peanut butter, AND fresh coffee!!! We will definitely return nest time we head that way to see family!!!

Incredibly warm and friendly staff, I’d say they were far beyond just being polite to do their jobs I truly felt very welcome there, from Front Desk Agents to Guest Room Attendants, they all did an outstanding job, and still do despite the lack of support from limited staff and guests that go too hard on hard working people.

The rooms are a little bit smaller than usual for me, but it was still cozy and everything looked ultra clean and presentable which matters.
