Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester North Mayo Clinic

The room was clean, the staff were super helpful, the WiFi worked for all of my Zoom calls. Bed was soft, and room was perfect for just me. If I was traveling with another, I'd wouldn't get the basic room. Shuttle schedule for Mayo was easy. I liked being close to a neighborhood to go on walks. Also, Target was right up the street with several restaurants nearby.

Breakfast was a bit lacking, more protein options would fix that. Smokers station is set right by entrance - that could fixed by putting an awning out a different door.

Good location, clean, comfortable.

The Mayo shuttle bus driver was constantly late and one day went MIA for hours causing me to start using Uber instead. The shuttle isn't owned by the hotel but it is contracted. This could definitely deter people from staying there again. Nobody wants to miss or be late for their appointment or procedures after traveling to come to Mayo.

Fast check-in, comfortable bed, clean room.

Entrance area quite noisy after 10 p.m. Cheap, flimsy pillows.

Bed was great; shower had lots of water pressure; staff was friendly and helpful; love the location near restaurants and highways; quiet at night. We've stayed there before and will stay again.

It would be nice to have a larger sitting area for family/friends to drop by. Rooms are small, so when we had a group of seven, we needed a bigger space & the lobby area was tight.

The location met my needs very well. I was there for a longer stay than I had originally planned and was able to extend easily. There are several restaurants nearby and a couple of larger stores for food and other shopping. The shuttle to the clinic was a big plus especially for very early appointments.

The things that were less convenient were mainly caused by requirements to reduce the virus spread like a minimal breakfast, I think they, like almost all the other businesses had some staff shortages. They didn't make up the rooms or supply linens every day but took care of those things when you asked for them.

This hotel is on the north side and next to some really great restaurants and great shopping. I've stayed here now three different times and each time the staff is helpful/friendly, breakfast is great for being "continental" and the hotel is super clean everywhere!

Not really anything! There is no pool or hot-tub, but they don't claim to have that. Otherwise there is nothing really to complain about!

I like that the hotel is in a quiet yet easy to access area and that their snap shuttle to the Mayo Clinic runs early enough for the earliest appointments. The rooms are comfortable and the coffee in the lobby is actually good.

When we checked into the room one of the light bulbs in our room was burned out and we found the previous occupants towels hanging behind the bathroom door. The desk was staffed by one person who did nothing and another who was trying to help people but was having a tough time. The lightbulb was not replaced during our stay, thankfully it was just an accent light by the closet. The waffle maker wouldn't release waffles.

The beds are comfy in every room I stay in. The room is somewhat spacious, although even the accessible rooms I stay in are kind of hard to move around in for wheelchair users. Not terrible, though. The breakfast was decent. One kind of wrapped muffin, 3 kinds of cereal, gallon milk instead of individual(which is gross considering how unclean some people are), 2 or 3 kinds of nutrigrain bars, 3 kinds of yogurt, oranges, and bananas. The waffle maker would be okay, probably, if I'd I ever given myself time to use it before heading to my appointments. Overall not bad for a free breakfast during covid times.

No individual milk for cereal, no apple, brown bananas, large dirt stain in shower, yellowed towels and sheets.

The room was great for the budget, I particularly liked the little padded window-box that I could recline on. Everything was clean, and despite the room being smaller than many hotel rooms I've stayed in, there were lots of little cubbyholes for storage. This helped me keep the floor clean (I even stowed my shoes) and keeping the space neater allowed me to get more work done.

There was no stopper for the bathtub, and in order to take a bath I had to improvise one from a washcloth and a sandwich bag. Additionally, while there was a coffee maker and coffee, there were no filters. The do-not-disturb doorknob hanger also seemed to be missing.

Location. Shuttle service to Mayo Clinic. I've stayed here a number of times and the staff and amenities are good. The virus situation has curtailed a number of things that would make a stay better at all hotels now though they are tolerable in the circumstances.

There's just one washer and dryer.
