La Quinta by Wyndham Starkville at MSU

Breakfast was good. Different every day. Cold water available 24/7 which was gray on these hot blistering days. Room was a bit dark, hard to put on makeup for women, kind of a tight squeeze around the beds (and hard to get into if you are 5’), tub had no anti slip coating and my husband slipped getting out of tub and fell. When you are in your 70’s, have knee replacements, and rods and screws in your back, it makes for a hazard. But I can’t expect every room to be handicap equipped although I did ask when I booked months in advance if any were available. But Erica at front desk and other staff were so friendly and helpful. This was a special weekend for granddaughter’s wedding. Just hate the minister (my husband) fell getting out of tub just hours before the ceremony. He was a trooper and didn’t let it stop the wedding! Thanks for a great stay

Room was nice and big. Liked the cable tv...hbo...channels. Liked having a SHOWER DOOR....instead of a shower curtain. Price was better that what was offered on Hotels.com Liked that there was a restaurant next door.

There was alock of hair hanging on the shower door. Although the shower itself seemed clean....there was some black something at the bottom of the shower door. I ALWAYs have shower flip flops when I travel...as I don't stand in any public place shower in my bare feet. I purchased some bleach cleaner and sprayed the shower. Took hair to front desk.....attendant was on phone so long...just left it on the desk.

The bed was fantastic, the shower had great pressure and the water was hot, room was very clean and everything worked great. Walk-On’s is next door if you don’t feel like driving once you arrive, and the Walmart neighborhood market is also close by. There is also a really nice continental breakfast if you are not eating somewhere in town the next morning. This is definitely the place to stay if you are traveling.

Only one elevator and it moves a little slow. Not sure there’s anything anyone at the property can do about that though.

Didn’t partake in breakfast, but it was nice and clean in the dining area. Everything was set up nicely.

Only thing I didn’t like was the stuffy smelled after turning off the AC for about an hour. Once the air started back circulating it got better

My husband had meetings in the morning and we were given a later check-out time. We were traveling with a dog and this gesture made our exit much easier to manage. The housekeeping staff were helpful as well.

I would have preferred bacon or sausage links or patties over the slices of smoked links (there’s probably a rotation), but everything else was great!

Since I believe it is newer, everything is clean and pretty inside. They had fresh, warm cookies to welcome us during check in. Staff is sweet and patient as there was 15 people trying to check in at once during a busy day with not enough rooms ready yet. Housekeeping is super friendly. Rooms are slightly small, especially at the entrance. But they are clean, comfortable, and satisfactory for the price and short stay. Bed is actually comfortable, and the room gets nicely dark with curtains closed. Our fridge didn't work. Our tv wouldnt turn off, so we had to unplug it, those were the only frustrating parts of our stay. Showerhead could use an update, the pressure isn't that great. Breakfast was satisfactory, cereal was stale, but muffins and sausage were tasty. Overall; great hotel, clean, comfortable, good location, lovely staff.

Room was clean. I always pull back the sheets when I use a hotel. Bathroom was clean. I especially liked the "sliding doors" no curtain to get stuck o me when in the shower.

Did not find anything that I "didn't" like on this trip. EXCEPT the delicious chocolate chip cookies served when I was there last visit.

The staff was very nice upon check in and check out, even in the middle of the night, there is a drink and food market available. Also, the rooms were very nice, clean and welcoming. very close to the campus, which for my purposes of being in Starkville, this is very beneficial.

Food and beverage was only on the first floor. This was not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have vending on each floor since we stayed on the 4th floor.

Great location to activities on campus and to visit with family. Hot breakfast was good with several items to select from. Big rooms with comfortable beds.

Room was great except for the TV stations that weren't available to view. Missed not having the GOLF CHANNEL and the HISTORY CHANNEL movies.

The location was great and the customer service

The rooms were neat however, the detail cleaning of the corners dusty around the rails of the bathroom in the shower were not as clean as I would have. Behind the the toilet build up dusk nasty.If the hotel focus in detail with the bathroom cleaning it would be a 10 for the stay.
