I loved the music playing in the foyer- added to the antique ambience. Enjoyed the intimate company and conversation at breakfast. Chocolates on the bed and water were a pleasant surprise and treat. Loved the animal-friendly policy and inclusiveness to fury family guests.

Was unclear on bed-and-breakfast protocol and advance discussion of menu. Not a frequent traveler of this type of accommodation, so maybe a description in booking listing or an auto send email or text on clarity of social norms (breakfast included or not, appropriateness of communication of dietary restrictions, promptness of breakfast time, etc.). Made to feel a little awkward for not knowing that i was supposed to communicate in advance. For a host that is a clear animal lover, the assumption all guests eat animal flesh too was a bit of a disconnect!

This is a great property that is extremely close to the Twain museum and Clemons home. It's comfortable, clean and charming. Why stay at a hotel when a great B&B is available? The owner is also the chef at the restaurant a couple of doors down and it is also exceptional! It was surprising and very welcome to find such great international cuisine in Hannibal. The breakfast the next morning was great and served with a helping of funny and informing stories about Hannibal. We talked so long I got a late start on my pilgrimage to Twain's boyhood home!

Be forewarned: take the check in time seriously. I was coming in from out of town and realized that I was not going to get there in time for the "2-4 pm" check in window. The Booking.com site said to just call to make other arrangements. So I called and left a message letting them know that I wouldn't be in until 6 pm. Next thing I knew, I got a text confirming that my reservation had been cancelled. I called again and got things straightened out but the owner wasn't exactly happy about it. Apparently he had to leave his restaurant and walk up the block to let me in. Who knew?

This charming BnB checked all of the boxes: great location, reasonably priced, historic architecture/decorations, tasty breakfast, and, of course, several adorable cats. The owner, Chris, was very accomodating and fun to talk to (I also highly recommend trying his amazing restaurant, LaBinnah, which is just a block away). If I'm ever in Hannibal again for the weekend, I would gladly stay here again.

I really don't have any complaints about this place--this is exactly what I wanted.

We loved the location; we were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see and because we were walking, we were able to discover more! We loved the conversation w/ Chris (our host) every morning as he gave us insightful history of the area and updated us on activities in the area, etc…; besides making us delicious breakfast every morning.

We really can’t think of a thing.

Chris is a wonderful cook and the breakfast each day was delicious. The house is very authentic and the conversations were very interesting. Listed as one of the most haunted places in the United States, can be a pro for some a con for others, no experiences by our family. Secure area within walking distance to the main shopping area.

One word of warning I did not note in the initial reading of the BNB description that they do have several cats running around the house, this was not an issue to us as we love cats but, could be an issue for allergy sufferers.

We were greeted at check in with true southern hospitality. Martha at the front desk is friendly and extremely helpful. She is a real gem. Our room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy and convenient. It was easy to find and an quick exit off the highway.

The bathroom was pretty small and rather awkward.

This is a lovely Victorian house with authentic furniture and vintage bric-a-brac. Huge windows, wood stairs, and very comfortable mattresses. Quiet, nostalgic place. The hosting was amazing. We arrived at Hannibal on Thanksgiving Day when all restaurants and cafes were closed and our host Chris was so kind and careful that served an additional meal for us. We are very thankful!

We didn't have access to the kitchen (due to health regulations).

Host Chris is very knowledgeable about Hannibal’s history and attractions, besides being a very interesting person and excellent chef. We really enjoyed exchanging paranormal experiences with him and the other guests, but unfortunately didn’t have any during our stay - with the exception of possibly being visited by a kitty spirit during the night. We love ghosts AND cats so will definitely return for a second visit!

Was hesitant about a shared bathroom but it turned out being ok.

Perfectly located within a short walking distance to the charming Hannibal downtown. The Garden House BnB was perfect for my stay. Super comfortable and cozy. Chris was an awesome host, fun lively chat during breakfast (which was delicious). Speaking of food, definitely try La Binnah Bistro just a couple houses down, amazing! Added bonus, the sweet, playful cat hostesses.
