this motel is a little gem...well maintained...extra clean...comfortable bed...brand new bathroom...friendly staff...and a big fresh muffin and cookie complimentary... all this for a very affordable price...! most budget chains should be wise and copy this privately owned property...

I visited three other motels on my trip and was totally awed by this stay, the lowest priced of all..! Everything was great..!

The property is lovely. Very pretty flowers and landscaping. I like that it is in a neighborhood rather than on or near the highway. Yeun was very helpful and polite. He's a hard worker - outside doing the watering and tending the garden in the morning. This after he fixed the breakfast treats and Coffee (which was very good). Yes, the room is compact, but I'm not going to live there - just stay a night or two. The bed was very comfy.

The common walls between the units could be insulated a little better. I could hear my neighbor brushing his teeth, etc. However, I did not hear his TV or if he snored. The room was nice and quiet.

The property is very cute the way they have the outside done. The room was very small but clean. Bed was very comfortable The staff were very nice. He even escorted me to my room.

I have a lot of issues physically so it was difficult coming up the high step to get to my door. The lazy boy recliner was very worn out. They only provide 2 pillows and I figured there would be 4 like most hotels. Need them because of issues. But my biggest gripe is there is no way to control your room temperature. It’s central air and everyone is on a main control. I was able to open a small window that helped but got humid about 4 am so closed it up. Did not get much sleep. Because of this I won’t be staying again unless it is winter and I can open window to cool it off.

Everything was very nice. Continental breakfast was great. Site was centrally located for my family and easy to navigate from. Room was not lavish but perfectly suited for what I needed, which was to establish a base where my family could easily find me and where we could have some private time. I appreciated the atmosphere of the place, which had a light-hearted and pretty decor outside, and engendered friendliness among the guests. It was very quiet and comfortable.

I was a bit lost when it came to finding places to eat in the neighborhood, though I later found an excellent place just down 4th a short distance. A rough “you are here” map might have been helpful, though I got along fine without.

This is a very clean, comfortable and friendly Inn. When we got there the guy at the front desk was very friendly and told us right away that our room would be a little warm right now because the ac wasn't working, but that they had someone coming out within the hour. We were able to open the windows so that was good. They did have the ac fixed within an hour and a half. They came to our door and told us it was working and that we could shut our windows within 20 minutes. The last day we were there the air wasn't as cold as it had been. I went and advised the office and the guy came to check it out right away, and went and checked on it. He said it was on auto so it wasn't kicking on because of the temp outside. He turned it on so it would cool down for us. They also brought us a room fan because our ceiling fan motor went out while we were there. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a continental breakfast in the office of coffee, muffins, breakfast bars, water, yogurt and some other snacks. There is a Kwik stop across the street, a liquor store next door and fast food and gas stations down the road along with a grocery store and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place and we will stay there again when we come through North Platte.

There really wasn't anything we didn't dislike while we were there. The toilet could sit a bit higher but it's not a huge deal, but older people will have a harder time getting on or off it. We did not ask for handicap accessible tho.

Very friendly staff, and quick check-in. The facilities are aged but well maintained. The room was quite small, but fine for me as I just needed a place to sleep and clean up for one night. The room lacked environmental controls, but the ceiling fan worked well. The temperature was not uncomfortable. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom is also small, but again functional and clean. There are a lot of stores nearby, as well. And the price is ridiculously low.

The lack of environmental controls was a bit disconcerting, but worked out. It might have been less comfortable in summer months. Note that the hotel is some distance from the interstate if that is important. The size of the room would discourage me from making this hotel a family stop for a prolonged stay, but it's fine for an overnight trip for one person or a couple. I could complain about the lack of a breakfast, but for the cost of the room, that would be an utterly absurd complaint.

I would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable and very clean. It was nice to see owners taking pride in their "old school" type motel and keeping it in great condition and offering reasonable rates. You just have to know what you are getting into with this motel, as so many of us are geared to chain hotels (like Motel 6 or Super 8) and this is not that. The Husker Inn offers a similar stay but better: friendlier and less formulaic. I was traveling on my own and my room was fine--smallish but very comfortable, great comfort bed and nice selection of TV channels. I'm not sure what a room for 4 would look like if I was traveling with my whole family. Note: the next night I stayed at a more upscale branded hotel (MORE than double the price of Husker Inn) with larger room, more up-dated, etc. BUT the TV didn't work. Which stay was better? Husker Inn for sure.

It was just a quant little inn and so cute...they definitely take pride in the Inn. I loved the flower bed (a big one) out front and had chairs available outside the rooms to just sit and enjoy the evening. There wasn't any noise during the night, very quiet and close to alot of things i.e. groceries, restaurants, fast food and other types of stores. Even though they don't advertise breakfast they did have muffins and waters and coffee available in the morning which was really nice also.

I can't think of anything i didn't like.

Spotless. These people care. A few small details amiss -- using llluminated light switches with old style swirl type of energy saving bulbs, means that since the switch grounds through the light, the light will blink every 10 seconds or so, just enough to be annoying. I managed a high end B & B in Denver for years ($250 per night) and we chased that problem for years, and went back to old style filament light bulbs to avoid this problem. Also, some loose floor tiles in the bathroom -- I owned a flooring company for 10 years, stuff like this I immediately notice.

Liked everything. But. Coming from Denver, I'd like to pay ahead for everything (which I already did) and then be able to check in late, which depends on the road conditions in my case. When I'm late, I feel as if I am keeping up the hotelier, as nice as he was. Digital door codes would solve this, but, then it wouldn't be a cool little inn I suppose.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and had everything needed for a very comfortable overnight stay. The cute flower garden in front added to the charm. I loved that a motel from the past has been brought back to life instead of being torn down or worse- a magnet for crime.

If you're expecting the Hilton you are going to be disappointed. This is not a luxury hotel but a quaint comfortable motel that has been brought back to life from past years when that's where everyone stayed while traveling.
