Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Ely, an IHG Hotel

Pleasant and honest reception staff. I forgot my credit card after I swiped it in the front desk. They called me later to inform me that they kept my card safe. Free breakfast.

the front desk staff was so helpful when we arrived, as well as after when I came down for the front desk in search of some earplugs for my spouse. I regret not grabbing his name, it was after 9 PM on Friday, June 10th, he was awesome!!

My spouse and I woke up quite a bit during the night needing to adjust our bodies on the mattress. it could be a little softer… I understand you guys probably hear the exact opposite of this from so many people reviewing the exact opposite from so many people. The staff is great and the hotel is great all around, this is not enough to make me not want to stay here again if I were in Ely, or anywhere else where there was a Hilton Express inn available.

Due my food allergies (gluten, dairy) I am unable to eat. Fruit offered is my breakfast at most hotels. With 10% of Americans having Celiacs and 30 % have food sensitivities it sure would be nice if the hotel industry would help us out. Labeling each food item as GF, Dairy free, soy free, etc. would also be helpful.

More attention to food allergies for breakfast.

The property really met all our needs. The rooms are nice and spacious, and everything was very functional. Especially liked the ample bathroom counter space. The guest laundry facilities were very handy. The breakfast included with the room offered a lot of options and was a real amentiy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A must-see if you're in the area is the bristlecone pines in nearby Great Basin National Park (see photo)--they are just magnificent.

The only thing we missed was something we had in a previous hotel--a rollout table tucked under the computer desk. That worked really well for the takeout meals that we continue to rely on in this covid era.

For a ordinary chain hotel at the crossroads this place was extraordinary. Nice staff, fantastic breakfast, and one of the most simply and thoughtfully appointed bedrooms Ive seen in a long time. The design team for these rooms gets a A plus. everything you want, where you want it, super clean.

It was the best breakfast of our entire trip. The room was clean and provided a variety of breakfast options. Our room was wonderful and had a great view of the surrounding mountains.

The price was a little high but we still enjoyed the room and the view.

The breakfast was excellent. It had a lot of variety and very good quality. The host was personable and helpful. This hotel would rate in the top 5 of hotels that my wife and I have stayed in during the past 30 years. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable.

Newer motel with interesting furnishings and architecture inside. Great breakfast- lots of choices. The staff was very friendly and energetic. Clean and spacious room, bathroom and shower. Nice thick towels.

The beds were a bit hard for us. We both had backaches and had to change positions several times throughout the night. We also wish that motels would quit using the heavy down comforters. They are too heavy and hot for us.

Absolutely love this hotel, very clean and quiet. Our first night we had a very noisy family above us, when we mentioned it to the front desk they moved us to another room and it was very quiet. Rooms are always neat, clean and well appointed. They are more expensive than other hotels in the Ely, NV area, but it's worth it for the smoke free, clean, quiet environment.

This property was clean and I never felt worried about Covid. Our room was very nice, clean, and it had a coffee maker in a nice nook. The view overlooked a business that is mad at the City of Ely and has some very interesting protests on their fence! The breakfast was one of the best from anywhere I have stayed! Cinnamon rolls...yummy!

I did not like that someone came into the breakfast area without a mask and the staff did not tell him to go back and get it on. They were serving, but I felt the staff had the right to do that and not just let the person “be the exception”.
