La Quinta by Wyndham Ely

Location is excellent especially with the supermarket next door. Room was spacious and cozy. Bathroom was big and toiletry items were nice quality. Everything was very clean. Beds super comfy and got a nice night s sleep. Staff from front desk to breakfast all friendly and helpful as needed. By the way,: breakfast choices were more than expected and the coffee strong and delicious. Thanks.

No complaints. Saw people with pets but had no issues with barking ....but there were people in the hallway real early who forgot to put their low voice in gear....we were still trying to sleep....

The only negatives of my trip were in the bathroom. Most importantly, the water temperature in the shower was way too low. 100% "hot" water was only lukewarm. This needs to be fixed and probably is just an adjustment. The second is that the toilet was a very low one. Not particularly comfortable to use, hard to get up from. This isn't easy to "fix" but when renovation happens, it should be. Lastly, I prefer just the shower, not a tub and shower. Most properties these days are this type. Shower curtains are a pain.

The breakfast was good selection and variety everything was clean the staff were friendly the seating arrangements were very interesting and accommodating. All in all staff from front counter to cleaners were great our maid Danielle was awesome attentive and respectfully I hope she gets a bonus

My bed had a big sag on the left side as you look at it so I slept corner to corner other than that great place good time.

Quiet location. Spacious room. Indoor pool and spa available. Large comfortable gathering room for breakfast or enjoying comfortable seating and view of the mountains to the east. The breakfast was a step above the included ones we’d had during the previous week at other locations; variety of fresh fruit, cheese in the scrambled eggs. Laundry facility available to guests and just a walk across the parking lot to a grocery store.

We asked about turning on the fireplace in the large gathering room but were told it didn’t work anymore. It really should be fixed as this facility doesn’t appear to be very old and would have added to the enjoyment of our stay. Outside the temperatures were in the teens so a cozy fire would have been welcome. Also should consider a stronger brand of coffee to go with the great breakfast and in the rooms.

Room was really nice. No dings on furniture, big tv, fridge and microwave, store right next door. Breakfast bar was clean and decent options. Best Wyndham property we have stayed at.

Breakfast bar attendant wasn't pleasant. She was rude to us and coughing without covering her mouth. We didn't see her change her gloves or wash her hands. Beds weren't comfortable for a full night's rest. The mattress was on the softer side and we prefer firmer mattresses. The pillows are tiny, but you get multiple. We will be bringing our own pillows next time.

Beautiful breakfast area with lots of seating and comfortable couches. Nice variety of hot foods Loved our room. The bed was very comfortable we enjoyed the indoor pool. The towels were larger and better than most hotels. We were glad to have a microwave and fridge . Friendly staff. Would stay again.

there's not a lot of places to eat near the hotel. That's not la Quinta's fault Although you can walk right to the grocery store from the hotel. We went over there and got some food for the room. Otherwise it would have been McDonald's for us.

Nice clean hotel next door to a grocery store so you can eat sensible meals at a reasonable price. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. The front desk lady, Pam, treated us very well and made sure we had utensils and everything we needed to enjoy a healthy meal from the market. Pam is one of those soft spoken, sweet people who make the stay memorable. This hotel has a really nice dining area and free breakfast. We stayed in the ADA room. Really nice big room and roll in shower.

The hotel was very nice and located at a good location. It's located next to grocery stores, multiple restaurants and gas stations. The center of the town is a 20-30 minutes walk away (but a very short drive). The hotel room and restrooms were very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. A free breakfast buffet was provided (omelets, cereal, bread, coffee, tea etc.). The property exceeded my expectation but it was also the most expensive hotel I had on this trip. But the value was excellent. I also liked where Ely, NV, is located. Much nature, deserts, mountain ranges, and remote places to enjoy within roughly 100 miles of Ely, NV.

I don't remember anything I did not like.

Breakfast. Sausage, Eggs, Waffles, Bagels, Yogurt. Filling and ample. Clean eating area. We were allowed to use the breakfast room for our take out dinner instead of having to cram 4 people into a hotel room. Made our meal much more relax and pleasant. Location is walking distance next to Ridley super market so you don't need to go far for supplies. They also did not charge a pet fee for up to two dogs. There is an indoor pool and spa which we did not use but it was well maintained. Its worth the extra dollars to book an excecutive room with a sofa. The extra space was much noticed. The check in process was smooth and the staff very friendly and pleasant. Visiting downtown Ely was interesting and provided a good history lesson for the development of the area.

Nothing could have been better. I enjoyed the stayed.

Everything went very well until I received a phone call from LaQuinta Saturday morning July 2 about 9:30 on our way to Las Vegas asking when we were checking out. My response was tomorrow Sunday July 3, as I booked the room for two nights through Booking.com and that I had the paperwork showing that. LaQuinta seemed to be very confused and said it showed us checking out on Saturday. I told the person on the phone that the room was reserved for two nights and we needed the room and asked if that would be a problem and if I had to turn around and go back to resolve the problem that I would not be happy. She said it wasn't a problem and the room would be available and they would make sure it would be ready for us when we returned.

The designated pet area was horrifying! Nothing but rocks and people were not picking up after their pets even though the disposable bags were provided by LaQuinta. Room for improvement. My pets did not like it. And one of the dryers was broken down so we were not able to dry our clothes after washing them and it is a long drive back to Yakima, Washington with wet clothes, a little disappointing.
