Stonybrook Motel & Lodge

We love this motel. The location is great, and the price is right! The man that runs the hotel is very nice, and such a hard worker. Comfortable bed, nice shower, and A/C works. We have stayed here many times, and know what to expect. It's not fancy, an older property, but we don't mind at all. You can't get any other room in this area for this good of a price. The stream out back, and starry skies at night are a bonus.

I like everything. Like I said, it's modest. The pool is currently shut down, which makes no difference to me. We will be back!

Following the 5 nights stay over the X’mas, we returned to Stonybrook stay 4 nights. To our delight, all was as good as the first time. In fact, this time we noticed about the details of the room; even though it is a budget hotel, the room is exquisitely built/decorated - the ceiling, the wall color, the draperies, the beddings and furniture. Everything in the room is in perfect conditions. There are an extra pillow and blanket in the drawer. The heater on the bottom of the wall of the bathroom is very nice while taking a long bath while looking at the stars in the frozen sky through the window. Inzu, the owner of Stonybrook is plenty nice and friendly, and I like the fact he leaves you alone until you ask him for something, and he promptly attends to it. Stonybrook is our home away from home in winter.

It would be nice if the breakfast opens promptly at 7:00am.

The breakfast was pretty great; waffles, bagels, cereal, etc. The bagels tasted like they were from a bakery and not store bought. The lodge was fantastic -- we ate dinner by the fire place and played games in the pool. There were other guests, but they were all friendly and the shared spaces were large enough that it never felt crowded. The room itself had floor space, which was great for playing card games with my husband and our friends. We ended up tubing at Loon Mountain nearby, which was also really fun. We did a small hike on a trail about a mile away, which was beautiful. Completely exceeded my expectations. I booked this place because it was a cheap motel, but it was such an amazing experience and I would 10000% recommend it and come again. The owner was also chill and friendly, which I really appreciated.

We absolutely love this area! This motel is in such a great location. Every time we go, we wish we never had to leave. This is a non-fussy motel, but it is clean and comfortable. The owner is always kind and helpful. You can tell he takes pride in his business. In the morning, he is always outside in the parking lot talking with customers. A very homey feel. The breakfast room has fresh coffee, juice, fruit, cereal, bagels, waffles, etc. Such a sweet little motel, and at a great price!

There is nothing to complain about

In a quiet section of Franconia, Stoneybrook is conveniently located by the Interstate exit 37 in a picturesque setting like a lodge. The owner is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The lodge (the common area where breakfast is served by fire place, pool table and heated pool) and rooms are very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom water was plenty hot and abundant. We stayed 5 nights very comfortably, ans know that Stoneybrook will be my hime away from hime a few times a year, and I highly recommend it to my good friends.

Room was nice and beds were very comfy, had a refrigerator and plenty of space to spread things around.We stayed in the lodge room 16 and had a great view of the mountain and on the other side the river. The lodge had a pool table and a huge fire place to hang out around.

The pool was under construction and it was kind of dirty in the passage ways and common areas. Just needs a good cleaning other than that it was awesome.

The room was perfect right by the stream where you could make a fire !

The lights were awful. Desk lamp did not work at all and the light above the sink lit the room up like daytime sun . Better lighting would have made me happier . The pool area was freezing as well as the water. Its kept closed until a guest wants to use it . So they keep the heat off It was just too cold to stay. They have a gorgeous fire place in the lodge that we asked the manager to light for us , but apparently he will only light it on weekends ….. WHAT? I thought that was awful , made me put a thumbs down towards management. I mean how hard is it to light a fire and make a guest happy? And it is listed as an amenity - but they need to say “weekends only”

First time staying at a motel and first time traveling alone. I booked it on booking.com around 9pm and then called the front desk to tell them I was getting in late, so they left the keys in the mailbox so I'd have no trouble getting in. Very considerate. It was a nice room, beds were comfortable. The breakfast spread was better than I expected, and their lodge is super cute. I would love to stay during holiday season. Checkout was easy, and all staff I talked to were pleasant and accommodating. Also liked how close it was to the main highway.

They left the windows open to air it out, which was nice, but I arrived past midnight and it was cold and drizzly, so I was a little chilly until the heat kicked in. The toilet seat was a little cracked, but honestly I expected way worse from a last-minute availability. The walls are a bit thin though - my neighbours were watching tv, and I could hear them a bit, but I was so tired that it didn't keep me up for long.

comfy beds, quiet location, nice guy at check in.

The room was a bit warm and the thermostat was hard to control. if you’re interested in having dinner you have to head into Littleton, because mid week there’s not lotta options near the motel. don’t count on breakfast being anything great.

There was a stony brook running side of the property. Tiny, pretty, cool feelings as if in a mountain lodge rather than a motel. Picnic area accommodates itself very well with the spacious property and an assortment of outdoor chairs were nice with the variety of form, size, and color. I had a room in a lodge building with a wonderful view from the window. The ceiling fun and wood panel walls were bonus features for me. The room was also most convenient to get access to the indoor pool.

The lodge building has a lounge where guests can gather to play. My room was straight up from the lounge, so the guests' excitement was conveyed to my space directly and vividly at any time. As for my reservation record, I noticed it was recorded as two guests although I made the reservation for one (myself) and stayed there as so. This may be a very small matter because there might have been all kinds of technical mishaps. But, since the data remain, I would like to mention the error here.
