Dream Cottage was amazing

Wonderful New Hampshire picturesque charm. The staff, accommodations, and food were all incredible for our little romantic getaway. There are fires roaring in almost every common area so enjoying a meal in the dining area or curling up on the couch in their smaller bar area was lovely. It’s an easy 20 minutes from the Woodstock Inn and Brewery, also where the Ice Castles are in the winter. The owner lives on the property and is incredibly responsive and personable. Slanted floors in every space (it was built into the 1700s people!), so not for those with accessibility or vertigo issues.

We would not recommend the Nickerson Suite if you are a light sleeper. it is directly above the kitchen and breakfast prep starts at 6am. The house was built in 1700s so not much insulation to speak of and the kitchen crew enjoys their music. and if you’re a tall male, you won’t be able to pee standing up due to a wall slant right above the toilet. Otherwise this room is beautiful with the coziest bed.

It was super cozy. Loved that it had a restaurant attached to be able to go to dinner. Food was delicious. Really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The suite we stayed in was really nice and enjoyed the bath. The restoration of the building into this inn was really cool. The heating was great with the wood stove in the room where you could control your own temperature. Great location for going hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter.

The walls are very thin and we were right by the bar and it was very loud hearing the patrons partaking at that. The front door when opened would shake our room so the early morning comings and goings would wake us up.

I liked most of the staff. There was one person, quite an important person that wasn’t too friendly or that interested or helpful. She seemed very distracted and not wanting to help me or take care of my needs. The rest of the staff that we had the rest of the time were AMAZING! They were like the ones mentioned in the book I read about Steve Allen. They were a credit to the INN! ALL of the Breakfast staff were WONDERFUL, FUN, FRIENDLY, CARING! Love the Doors/Headboard, and the huge soaking tub. Loved the yummy Breakfast and options for vegetarians. Loved the hot drinks we could help ourselves to in the Library.

It was weird to us that the floor sloped in the room and that the bed covering didn’t even match the bed skirt or other colors in the room. Might want to change that. It isn’t the one I saw in the online pictures. I am an artist (and I LOVE purple)but it was hard to look at it in combination with the other colors in the bed skirt and the picture on the wall, it just didn’t seem to go together. I was told that the outside Inn Door isn’t locked at night. I have never been to one that wasn’t and I have to be honest, it felt a bit scarey to me that anyone could just walk right in…

Check in was quick & easy. The breakfast & dinner (make sure to make reservations) was absolutely delicious!! A short drive to Littleton provided just enough to walk around, snack on something light and head back. The bed was super comfy. We truly enjoyed the quiet and the view of the Mountains. Be sure to visit the Artist's Bluff hiking trail, it is a 10 minute drive away with stunning views.

The relaxed atmosphere was welcoming, staff was very accommodating and upgraded our room when there was a non functioning A/C unit. Breakfast was amazing and lots of food and options. We didn’t have dinner but the reviews left by the other guests in the guest book said it was fabulous.

Absolutely fabulous!! gorgeous historic inn, with cozy decor and warm, welcoming owners. we stayed during Christmas and the atmosphere was amazing. Each room has a fireplace and is beautifully decorated with thoughtful accents. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious. We travel globally and this was the best breakfast yet! Food was prepared fresh with local ingredients. Highly recommend staying here!

Breakfast was included in the price of the room. It was very good. Started with a bakery item with coffee and juice. There were 4 choices for breakfast entree. Well prepared and not too much. Overall good experience.

There was a large soaking tub in the bathroom. I found it to be a little slippery. There was no bath mat or grippers on the bottom of the tub.

Room was fantastic. Beautiful fireplace. Service was great. Breakfast was great. Great atmosphere in the inn, and a very friendly and helpful staff.

Could have done without the fridge in the room--it was a bit noisy in an otherwise very quiet room. Perhaps put it in the very large closet? I believe the website said there would not be a tv, and there was. No problem--we just didn't use it. Just need to update the website. Dinner was very good, although not quite the exceptional experience we were expecting based on reviews. We heard a new chef just started, so perhaps he's finding his footing. It was very good food. We were satisfied, but not blown away (as reviews seemed to indicate we would be).
