Residence Inn by Marriott West Orange

Even with the extra fee for a pet ($100), I still highly recommend this location for those traveling with pets. Check-in was straightforward. The staff were amiable and made the experience very pleasant. The suite was spacious with a nice kitchen, living room area, bedroom area, and bath. The tub was very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful. Plus, it's conveniently located close to Whole Foods and CVS. The breakfast was impressive, and there are places that deliver in case you don't feel like cooking lunch and dinner while you're there.

I can't say there was anything I didn't like. The only minor thing was that they could be a bit more proactive with dumping the pet areas' trash. It was full, but there was a dumpster close by so not really an issue.

The facility was nice.

I had a pet and there was no disclosure that there was a non refundable pet fee of $100 on the website or on booking.com. If I had known, I wouldn't have stayed. This $100 was not in my budget. I feel like it was very deceptive and when I confronted them they said sorry and offered no refund. Even mentioned that another guest was on the phone with the same complaint.

slight inconvenience wit not tellin me about deposit fee when I called nd 1 lady tellin me my reservation was cancelled r my daughter’s birthday altho I didn’t get an email nd on da phone she said there r no more rooms without her checkin but I hung up wit her nd went online nd booked again!

Good breakfast, Good value. Easy parking. Spacious suite with good TV. Spotlessly clean.

Lacks any charm, but then that was not expected. Typical, workmanlike Marriott in the hotel desert known as New Jersey.

I really enjoyed the property. My husband and I are both using a Rollator walker. And the hotel made it possible that we got a handicap room. Really appreciate it. Great job well done the continental breakfast was great as well.

Breakfast was excellent. Good choices with fairly good quality.

Hotel is a little tired. Carpet is worn. There was also no soap to clean dishes in the kitchen nor any soap for the dishwasher. With COVID, people are getting a lot of take out. So ability to clean dishes would be nice.

Food quality was OK. I have stayed at other Residence Inns that had better quality

The quality of the buffet food a breakfast was extremely LOW, and it looked like you used the cheapest of all the offerings you could get. For example, your sign said Starbucks Coffee, but if it was you diluted it by atleast 50%!

Breakfast was tasty, location was perfect to our event and bed was comfortable. Full kitchen was a nice bonus.

It was winter, but the first floor was not able to get to a comfortable temperature. The first floor bathrooms toilets were not working properly and didn’t have any soap when I went in.

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The room was very large and inviting. The breakfast was excellent with VERY helpful staff. We'd definitely return and recommend the hotel to others/

Nothing was out of miss. From the staff welcoming us to the room to the delicious breakfast, all was excellent.
