Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gallup East, an IHG Hotel

I've stayed here twice and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling through Gallup. Excellent value for money, with a convenient location right off the Gallup East exit from I-40. Property is very well kept and has nice architecture. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Comfortable room well stocked with name-brand toiletries. Wifi is good. A ridiculous number of outlets are available in the room—I could probably charge every electronic device I own at once and still have room to plug more in!

This is probably the 5th or 6th time staying at this hotel and we won't stay at any other hotel in Gallup so would recommend this one without hesitation. We had a Uhaul trailer and an 8' truckbed loaded full of items and we weren't worried about anything getting broken into or stolen, although we did cover it up with a tarp. Room was fantastic, lady working the front desk was efficient, friendly, and helpful which was nice because we were extremely tired from a long, stressful day of driving. Great customer service. Honestly, no complaints at all. Know up front that you cannot get your own food because of COVID, but they do have a selection for you that looked pretty good. We only got a couple sweet rolls and coffee, so really have no idea what the food actually tasted like, but no one seemed to be complaining. The lady manning the food station and filling your "order" was kind and conscientious and made sure people got what they asked for.

I really loved the great customer service at check-in. The rooms are nice and large and so are the bathrooms. I wish we could've spent a little more time to enjoy the room but it was a last minute decision to stay the night.

Although the bathroom was nice and large it would have been really great if the lighting was better especially for the mirror. I think most women would really appreciate it.

The space was alright. I liked that I could fit all of my family in one room, and you had free breakfast in the morning.

The pull-out couch was dirty. The pool was shut down and I booked this place in hopes of my family going swimming.. There were a lot of customers that came in upset because it was overbooked. I helped two people try to find a place myself.

Room was clean and neat. We slept well--beds were awesome! Full-size bar of soap was unusual but good. Hot breakfast was very nice. Biscuits and gravy were excellent.

The front desk did not have our reservation immediately as we made it online about 20 minutes prior. The lady was not very friendly and almost rude. I think she was training a young guy who was much, much more pleasant. We sat in the lobby about 15 minutes waiting for the reservation to come through. All the while people kept coming in getting rooms--I was waiting to hear there were no more double rooms available! It would have been very bad as we were very tired and having trouble finding a room. Luckily that did not happen. Young man told me when he saw reservation. Lady was slightly bit nicer in the end but not stellar customer service from her at all.

Everything about our stay was EXCELLENT!! Room nice, clean, cozy! Large walk in shower was an unexpected surprise! Price was reasonable for our dog for the night. Breakfast was good & the attendant serving the food & cleaning/sanitizing tables was great! She was very friendly & helpful. Best I've ever seen in these times of COVID.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I also liked the shower with the shampoo and gel soap--very convenient.

I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast selection. They only had one type of omelet with cheese. I'm not supposed to eat cheese, but I had no choice.

Holiday Inn never fails to be a great place to stay. A power outage threw a monkey wrench into the breakfast and could have have a extra staff person for that time period... but it WAS New Years day. I used to be a large project manager and believe me, I know best laid plans and all that... NEVER EVER miss the servings of CINNAMON ROLLS. :) George R

It took the refrigerator awhile get cold. The hot water wasn't hot enough. The bathroom fan didn't work and let the front desk know about the fan n they didn't do anything about it

The property was located right off the freeway.

The signage and drive in to the property feels not very thought through. The pool was not functional, but the property only sent that notice after we booked.
